That is one of the most unbelievable things! We need schools like this all across the nation.

The videos don't give this school justice. I had the honor to spend the whole day there. Watching the children and teachers interact. It was AMAZING. I was blown away. When you walk in it feels like you entered in a Harry Potter movie, the whole school looks like that. The classes don't look like traditional classes . Watching the children in the class brought tears to my eyes. I was so proud of the way they carried themselves and how much fun they were having. Please go and see for yourself.

I just watched the movie. I'm in Australia. More teachers need to be like him. Incredible man. And the kids he saved, that is what he has really done.

@Juwar1974 Actually, the RCA consciously chooses students who struggle academically and who have disciplinary issues. What you see IS an accurate representation of the average classroom, including large class sizes. The fact that RCA succeeds is not a result of working with only gifted and well behaved children (because that isn't the case), but of the school's passion, hard work and commitment to education.

Holy Cow! I can't believe I haven't seen this before now. Ron Clark needs to see Lyrics2learn. Talk about a perfect fit! Love teaching AND learning in high energy, fun, accountable environments.

@ThomasHayden1995 He didn't shake the girl, he shook the desk...with the girl in it. I am suprised that no one else didn't do more to that child (lol)....have you ever even visited a school in Harlem? You would run back to home screaming (lol)....also, that same little girl whose desk he shook? He ended up tutoring beyond school hours because he believed in her. She ended up with perfect scores in English & Math on the state assessment. No one else in the NYC schools achieved that.

I honestly think this is dumb if they started teaching like this at my school I doubt anyone would participate with the singing n dancing or answer the questions the teAcher asks the class no matter how much he tries to encourage everyone
