Yes it is a great show. Different from all the constant dramas. Its funny, action pack, looks at relationships, social issues etc. Thats why we need the writers to put in the work. They have had too many mishaps with some of these episodes. I would scream if this series had to be cancelled. The cast is incredible. Writers do right by ur cast please. They deserve good material.

Hoping the series continues, I'm really wondering what they will do with future seasons. Nolan is only a rookie for his first year (though Adam-12 spread Reed's rookie year over two seasons), so eventually he has to become an experienced officer at which point his age matters a lot less.

Well...you got probationary rookie (Nolan, Chen and West now), rookie patrol officer, rookie training officer or detective (couple of years minimum after becoming regular patrol officers)...there is room to play. Plus, there's always the possibility of Nolan getting held back as punishment for a screw-up.

It's not just about his character being a rookie. They can have him advanced and train other rookies as their TO. There's a lot they can do with the show.
