Look at Trevor Lawrence. His rookie season was a complete dumpster fire and now he's a competent NFL starter. The problem is that Young is just screwed because Carolina nuked its own draft stock and he'll have to ride out another year of punishment. If they can at least get him some capable WRs, he'll be able to show off his accuracy more, but ultimately it all comes down to the line.

I was okay with losing to the Ravens. I'm just happy knowing we have our franchise QB for at least a decade. We also have tons of cap space and still have a number one pick at 23 in the first round. It's way easier to plug holes when you already have your franchise QB.

As a colts fan, while it sucked to see AR get hurt and miss most of the season I’m hoping that this will be a blessing in disguise. I loved what I saw from his small sample size and think there is tremendous potential. One of the biggest knocks on him was his ability to read defenses, make the right read, and take care of the ball. This season he got real game experience and then was forced to do nothing but learn the offense and prepare himself for next season. We also got to see what Steichen was able to due with Minshew running the offense and if he can have a successful offense with him and Jonathan Taylor missing most of the season, I cannot wait to see what happens when we are fully healthy.

Bryce Young's stats mirroring Paxton Lynch, Josh Rosen, Deshone Kizer and Brandon Weeden is a *horrifying* thought. I really don't want to think he's actually on their level of bust though, the Panthers are an absolute joke right now thanks to their owner. Tepper makes Dean Spanos look like an empathetic genius by comparison. I hope Bryce becomes a Jim Plunkett; a player dealt an absolutely horrific hand early on, but once he finds a team with some actual talent around him, he shows he can handle all the pressure of the NFL.

I don’t think we can be too hard on Bryce, he actually has nobody around him. Until he gets at least two decent or good receivers and an O-Line with a pulse we shouldn’t judge him so harshly. Once he gets some pieces around and still struggles then there can be some bust talks. But if it only takes those pieces I think the Panthers have their guy. Just give him the next two years for his team to catch up
@youwontlikethistake

Even if he gets pieces around him and the organization figures it out, it still won’t matter. Bryce is 5’9 and 180 pounds soaking wet. He can’t run and he can’t throw 15+ down field without exhausting himself. It’s not rocket science to know that this was a recipe for disaster before taking him.

The NFL is loaded with talented players. At the QB position, one thing has become extremely apparent. What coach and position coach will lead them and will they need to carry the team. Would Mahomes be Mahomes without Reid? Would Burrow have made a Superbowl without the Bengals D? There's plenty more examples, just not trying to type a novel. In short, bust or success, it's got a ton to do with what staff the QB is paired with.

I was so pumped about Levis making his debut in the Oilers uniforms. He looked like Air McNair that night. Very fun game. This season truly was one to remember.

In the cases of Stroud, DeVito and Levis the key to becoming a great QB in the NFL is when the media overlooks them

The problem is Alabama QBs are always overhyped. They invariably come from having one of the best o-lines, skill positions and defences to cushion them in college, while theres dudes at like Baylor or Michigan State having to throw to 3 turnip farmers with a defence that's just the offence in reversed jerseys. Then lo and behold Bama QBs make it to the NFL with an inflated draft stock and they don't live up to that inflated expectation and people are surprised. Bryce: bust so far. Mac Jones: bust. Tua: mid. McCarron: basically out the NFL. Maybe now Saban's gone the balance will be reset a bit idk but its just laughable how many other colleges have produced NFL QBs better than Bama's best in the Saban era

If we can fix the oline and get some WRs that can get open I think levis will go the damn distance and make his mark in the league!!! He brought something to the team that I haven’t seen since 2020 and that’s hope and a straight up fire attitude!!! We need that kind of spark so damn bad!!!

I feel that Bryce young doesn’t deserve the bullying and hate (yet), he has minimal pass options and a terrible line, no where to go and compared to cí stroud with good Wrs and a tangible line he hasn’t had time to pan out. Same thing with Justin fields but I think fields has a better chance of panning out

As a colts fan it’s bittersweet to see all this cj stroud hype. I was rooting for cj when he got drafted but I fell in love with AR when I saw him play. It’s unfortunate AR went down with the injury cause I truly feel like all this ROTY hype would be going to him if he was healthy…plus that week 17 game between the 2 would’ve been amazing to see. Can’t hate on stroud tho…can’t wait to see next season

As if things couldn't get any better for the texans, they have the second most cap space in the nfl, and they could probably have the most just by cutting a handful of players. Just think of all the free agents the texans could get with an already impressive roster.

Everyone was wrong about Houston this year, even the Houston faithful. They went from being the worst team in the league, to the Divisional Round in one year. They're only going to get better with time. If that doesn't shock us as football fans, I don't know what will.

The one thing we'll be wondering is how so many supposed "experts" missed the glaringly obvious red flags with Bryce Young that were obvious to many amateur fans. Sure, other QB's have been small like him and had success (Wilson, Murray) but they all had very good arm talent, which Bryce was clearly lacking.

Makes me feel kind of bad for the coaching staff in Carolina that all got fired. Seeing how Tepper is, I don’t doubt for a second the rumors the staff wanted Stroud and Tepper made them take Bryce.

I feel like the problem with young is that he doesn’t have an OL and all of his best weapons were traded. (namely DJ Moore, who was part of the package sent to Chicago for young) If you give him a receiver and a not garbage OL, he could still be something.

I don't think anyone doubted Stroud. Certainly not if you ever watched him play in college. Even in some whooping to Michigan, he still played very well and only made mistakes when he was pressing because they were behind. (I'm a Michigan fan and even I will admit this.)

Give Bryce young time and hopefully better teammates before writing him off, I think he would have been incredible in San Francisco this year and that’s not a knock on Brock Purdy it’s just an acknowledgment of how well everything is set up for a qb to excel in that offense (so kind of a shot on jimmy g)

Richardson is hard to judge, but you can’t deny that 7TDs to 2 turnovers (1INT that was just a miscommunication and likely the WRs fault plus 1 fumble) is a ratio you can definitely live with. The fact that he has a good O-line and coach will certainly help.

As a Denver fan (unbiased opinion). Stroud is obviously the clear winner as of right now but i seriously have to give props to Anthony Richardson, the guy is seriously overlooked in my opinion. Seeing the 5 games he played in, I think he showed that he has top 5-10 qb in the league potential. Their head coach is an absolute offensive guru and he’s showed he can develop QBs. I think if AR-15 can develop as a passer and obviously pick and choose the hits he wants to take a little more carefully, he’s going to be a superstar
