The Director is interpreting the story of a female writer for the screen. The film is directed by a man. The story is created by a woman. And, two brilliant female actresses told the story through their work.

Well, it's not glossy, like MATADOR, or WOMEN ON THE VERGE. But it os color coded with his signature red acting like a "red thread" connecting to the themes of his other films. It looks a lot like a Woody Allen film: with a certain level of assumed wealth.

Films are usually very manipulative thought they want to look innocent and honest. It's not because a movie is visually ravishing with good actors that you've to believe and follow all their evil nonsense. Me myself I'm a person with chronic illness and daily pain all over my body for years, but it made me more humble and a kinder person. And I know there're a lot of good people around the world.

I think Almovadors films are brilliant but I feel insulted by this film. We know awful things are happening at an exponential pace. We know that. It reminds me of the apathy of extremely privileged people, no matter how talented the cast is. Please, make a film about Palestine, Ukraine, Global warming, because how does the 99%, how CAN the 99% relate to this ?!?!
