and there may also be spoilers on Jamie Lynn Sigler & Robert Iler's podcast(s) - tho as Charlie mentioned, Iler still has yet to see the show -- would be too tough to watch Gandolfini, apparently.

Disagree. They should listen to the podcast but never go past the episode they are reacting too. Each podcast episode is divided by episode. It’s a deep dive into each episode. They would learn so much of what they are missing to hear two of the actors lay out all of the symbolism the scripts are providing. The vast majority of which flies over people’s heads on their 1st viewing. It’s almost like a person needs to be trained on what to focus on & what’s important. Talking Sopranos spends a lot of time explaining why they picked the songs on the show & how these songs are actually part of the script & advance the storyline through song lyrics. If they just don’t get ahead of themselves & stay equal to the episode they are reviewing they’d be more focused reactors.

The contrast to note is what happens when Vito breaks the chair & falls versus what happens when the chair breaks on Ade & Chris’s reaction. They are both the same... instant laughter. Chrissy has the same level of compassion for Ade as crew members have for Vito... which is none. This laughing at people falling down is a reoccurring theme. Livia laughed at Tony when he fell down her porch steps. Tony’s description to Melfi of a warm family moment was everyone laughing at Tony’s dad when he fell down at the beach. Joyfully participating in the suffering of the world.

Bobby threatening the Union Guy is probably the most gangster part of the show. And the fact it comes from Bobby reminds you that he's not a sweet cuddly teddy bear. He's a criminal that operates with violence and intimidation.

True, but in comparison to the others, he's a 'cuddly teddy bear'.

10:38 it's the opposite of smart. She should've told Chris or Tony immediately because they know what to do in such cases. Hook her up with their lawyer etc..tell her what to tell what not to tell isntead of what she's doing right now. If she was smart she would know that they don't have sh*t against her. But she didn't want to lose her club... 12:03 it's because he's stealing coins from Murf.15:48 she isn't wired. Wishing you all the best with the family matter.

Paulie did pump his own gas in the Pine Barrens episode. However, someone pointed out either on the IMDB Trivia for that episode or on Talking Sopranos, that that was a mistake. You still can't pump your own gas in New Jersey.

All these years and in did not think about that. I mean I knew about the Jersey gas thing. Hmmm wonder if that error happens again?

The horse is going to have several meanings down the line, so keep an eye on Pie. But the most basic in my opinion is similar to what you're saying, Tony feels unable to properly feel empathy due to his upbringing/line of work, and transfers it to a simpler world where he's not seen as anything other than someone who can bring food and relief from pain, without the "are you in the mafia" kind of moments.
