Thank you pastor for this message. Can we also have a series on how we can deal with bitterness and protect ourselves from further hurt from abusers? Sometimes forgiveness is not enough, clear boundaries must be set. This is most difficult to do when dealing with family members (like in the case of Absalom) or bosses (like in the case of Ahitophel). Most ppl take things into their hands when it feels no one can challenge the abuser or the matter is being swept under the carpet. So you hold it to heart trying to forgive but the chain of abuse continues.

I've been hurt beyond measure which has affected most of my relationships. Forgiveness is not as easy as it's been preached. I wish it's that easy. This life is cruel and unfair especially to the innocent. Sometimes I tell myself that the dead are better than us somehow cuz they are free from the struggles and wickedness of life.
