I found a cool old non-working Bakelite radio that I gutted and turned into a bluetooth speaker. I'm usually looking for interesting bits for costuming and decor. Mostly though it's just things to turn into other things. If I only pay a fraction of the value, I'm not upset if the project doesn't work out.

What I love to look for at the Flea Market are sometimes costumes for Star Wars.

The original book, The Knave of Hearts from 1925 illustrated by Maxfield Parrish. And unique old lithographs art pieces/book plates from the 30s-40s. There are a lot of repos out there. But if you know what to look for you can find real treasures. And if you want to haggle wait until the dealers pack up. They will deal if it means not having to load it back on their truck. Danielle patents would sell Art Deco mini bars there and at the Queen Mary, when they use to have the Art Deco show there yearly. And they would do dealers toward the end, also if you see a piece you have to get a lot of the dealers will do layaway. Great video guys!!

Going to flea markets & antique stores is one of my absolute favorite pastimes. You truly never know what you’re going to find. When I go, I tend to look out for Star Wars stuff since I collect things that are Leia related. I also love finding ooooold vintage (think turn-of-the-century) photos. One of my favorite finds, though, was an art print of the Turkey Point Lighthouse in Maryland that my grandfather’s great-aunt was the last keeper of. I love your videos like this. They’re very laid-back & fun to watch. Thank you for sharing your adventure!

Oh I'm so glad to see you at this flea market. I have never been there. A little secret, my husband actually knows RG. Canning, when he was a young man they knew eachother really well when he was in the boys and girls club. We still get The cutest Christmas hanging cards from him. So cool your at this flea market. We used to go to the Rose Bowl Parade every year. 👍👍 we hadn't gone since 2018, since the pandemic. Miss it.

Cool. I know a lot of the masks and some of the other objects that were used to decorate The Adventurers Club (1989 -2008) in Downtown Disney's Pleasure Island area (Walt Disney World), were purchased by imagineers (specifically Joe Rohde I think) at the Rose Bowl flea market! Since the club closed some of the decor has turned up at other Disney venues. Check out KZbin videos of the Mask Room in the Adventurers Club and you will see some of them. It was a one of a kind place. The Edison restaurant now occupies the building that once housed the Adventurers Club.

@@AlwaysBelieve We have something VERY similar up here in Nor Cal....but the future is uncertain now. They tore down the location and chewed up the parking lot so ours is kinda homeless right now. It was held at the old Arco Arena.......and now that's a distant memory. The second Sunday in November is on our list of things to do. Funny.....I think we will be at the UCLA/Arizona game the night before, which will be played at the Rose Bowl (If I have my dates right). Gonna be a busy weekend. We should probably just camp out there......save the extra trip.

Oh, that sword is actually a Klewang. Thats a typical Dutch saber used by police, military police and the Dutch army. It's usage is totally different from any other saber fighting styles. If I would find one in a flea market I would buy it right away. Looking at the state it is in it would probably be worth about 30 to 40 euro because it is in a really rought state. But it looks like it can be saved.

Have you checked out the Nancy Sinatra and Lee Hazelwood songs that they did together. They did a lot of really good songs and videos. The Star Wars poster I believe was a British presentation of all three movies (note the spelling of program as programme).
