I actually connected with my now husband because he took an interest in me writing in the lunchroom at work and instead of ignoring me like the rest of our work group he asked me about my book after reading over my shoulder. I was so embarrassed cuz I felt I was on the spot but it made me pay attention to him more and definitely was a start to our love story ❤❤❤ I also am having a hard time trying to get into my writing project after the chaos of the holidays though. I hope it gets better soon

Fellow New Jerseyian here! 🖊Finally getting into seriously writing again and I really want to start writing vlogs because I always love watching other people vlog their writing experiences. I think I'm going to wait until October/Nanowrimo season to start doing it but I've just found your videos and they're already giving me huge inspiration. Happy writing!

Totally feel you on the procrastination for writing. I have been that way since November and I keep wanting to find time, but then never actually make the time. 🖊

Tone is instinctual. Tone will come, but only after you've worked so thoroughly with the world you've created that you know it like the back of your hand. I always have difficulty explaining the tone of each of my works to beta readers, and even to colleagues who (kinda-sorta) know what top expect from me every time. This is because they typically see the work before it's ready; one detail out of place can derail the entire tone. But once I commit, I know that each detail will fit together and form a masterpiece. My question for next time is: does life provide you on a regular basis with things you can draw from? Or to put it a different way, have you found a satisfying level to which your work reflects life as you see it?

thanks for the question Adam!! Appreciate the reassuring words on tone

I just don't feel right if I don't get 1000 words down each day. It's been a problem I've been working on simply finding days where I need to rest and being okay with that. I work two full time jobs, so no every day can be as prolific as the last. Best of luck to you during your holiday vacation 🖋
