Awesome show guys! Great prawn hunting! You're last prawn meal was my favorite - the one with creamy white sauce and pasta. Beautiful!

You're being modest. You didn't just catch your anchor. You caught your boat. What's the biggest fish you've caught? 12,000 lb! 😂

I kayaked the Inside Passage twice (10 weeks and 14 weeks) from Seattle to Skagway on different routes, and I have to say, the abundance of wildlife and the primitive beach camping were unsurpassed. I also did the B.C. portion via sailboat as part of my singlehanded circumnavigation after a passage from Tonga and making landfall at Prince Rupert and sailing/motoring south in the Fall. I miss the sailboat cruising life.

Wow, that's incredible! Serious respect for folks out here in smaller vessels, its wet and wild! But agreed, the abundance of wildlife is absolutely amazing. Congrats on your singlehanded circumnav as well, inspiring stuff! Do you still have your sailboat?

Prawns or no prawns, your videos are among the best KZbin has to offer. Spending thirty some years of my engineering career with sailors didn't improve my vocabulary very much. I'm sure your productions deserve more than I can comment about. But, carry on heading North. I've only been to Alaska once and it left me with the image of a very 'big' country. Kodiak Island is worthy of a visit, but I'm sure your visa will limit you. You know how careful we are with ferners. -Curt ❤❤

Awe, thank so much Curt! Love to hear that, we appreciate you writing to share your fine vocabulary filled with kind words! Glad you've gotten to experience Alaska first hand! It is indeed very big and so we'll need to come back in order to experience more of it! Kodiak is high on our list as well as Prince William Sound and the Aleutians! We'll be working towards that, cheers!

James & Allison!🌻U2 have the Best POSITIVE & Practical Attitudes!! (most spoiled passengers on a 'cruiseship' complain about everything☢️) Instead you two make roughing it alone at sea seem easy..& a Pleasure🌞 (We know you don't record all conflicts😜) Glad you got to eat fresh prawns😋 Have u ever caught 150 limit in a 'day'? and...😊How often to you see Seaplanes? 🛩️

OMG! I couldn’t fathom life aboard without having fresh cracked pepper! Especially for a dish like that. I guess the scenery almost makes up for it, or at least makes it a survivable situation, lol. Is there a reason you didn’t add a bow roller for your anchor chain? And is your diesel heater stack meant to be that loose?
@AllisonandJamesSailing
@AllisonandJamesSailing 4 сағат бұрын
haha we lived to tell the tale. But it won't happen again, it's now in our grab bag! We have plans for a bow roller, it’s actually a little more challenging than meets the eye due to the geometry of the bow, just didn’t get to it before leaving on this trip. As for the diesel stack. It’s removable with a deck cap so the flu is press fitted, being secondhand it’s a little worn.

Where you are is absolutely gorgeous! Wish I was with you but my boat is on the east coast. You guys are in a great place to see the next comet in October. Should be visible just after sunset almost due west from about the 10th thru the 20th. Maybe we'll see pictures.

So glad you're enjoying them! We often say, these will be the best days of our lives. Soaking it all up! I seem to have some sort of shellfish allergy myself although thankfully seems to mainly be scallops and mussels in copious amounts. If it migrates to crab and prawns I will be extremely disappointed. Thanks for tuning in this week, we'll catch you in the next one, Cheers!

@@AllisonandJamesSailing Hello. Yes in Canada we do not care too much (14K license so the boat is likely Canadian registered anyway). In the USA you can get boarded if the USCG cannot identify your vessel.
