The route of the gorges of Sadernes: discover the natural beauty of Garrotxa

Starting point: The starting point of the route is at the Sadernes campsite, located about 6 km from the town of Montagut. It is not possible to continue higher up, although there is a track suitable for cars, access to the upper car parks carries fines.
Route: The route starts at the Sadernes campsite and follows a signposted path that passes by the Llierca river. The path is flanked by a lush forest and crosses the river several times through footbridges or stones.
After walking about 3 km, the trails reach the first gorges, where they can enjoy a refreshing swim in the crystal clear waters. The route continues through the forest, with quite steep sections, until you reach the other gorges, where you can continue swimming and enjoy an impressive landscape.
The route continues until reaching the Ermita de Sant Aniol d'Aguja, from here, the trails can choose to return on the same path or follow an alternative route that passes by the other side of the river and you can see the jump of the Bride

Difficulty: The route of the Gorgs de Sadernes is a moderate route, but due to its distance, due to the fact that it is not possible to park nearby, it becomes a high difficulty not suitable for everyone, with quite stony sections, and some points where the paths will have to cross the river Therefore, it is recommended that walkers have some hiking experience and be in good physical shape.
