Thanks for the video. Is the Beaconsfield depot before ronalds vlei that they do the Loco changes at KIMBERLEY station. Then how did the xtrapolis moved onto cape Town on its own power or also diesel hauled

Hi there, the Shosholoza has been reinstated. The first train from Johannesburg to Cape town is on the 6th December 2023. The Durban train is back. The Musina train is back. The Queenstown train is back

Nice the conversations with the crews, as a Dutch I can understand the Afrikaans for a great part. Does the X'trapolis run with diesel power the next section, as part of the line runs with 25kV AC, and these sets only work under 3000V DC?

Yes, but in most cases it gets hauled by either a 20E or 7E
