The use of chords through the vocoder rather than just exclusively the melody just elevates certain parts of the song, the slight alterations and improvisations in the solo work so fucking well, the drummer is a god, this cover is perfect. I disagree wholeheartedly. It wasn't exactly like the original, but that's how covers should be! He did great considering it was live and that solo is incredibly difficult to play. It's impressive even for a pretty good guitarist, really.
