Fabulous ride out Dave, it’s very interesting following the rivers,when you think about it before the roads and even the railway’s the river’s were the main highways for commerce, that’s why so many towns are built around them. It also makes for interesting rides following them now, you get an insight into the past, all the best buddy 👍

Great little trip. Don’t know if you know of it but the Ryther Arms, used to a have a great reputation for its steaks, many years ago. Sadly never managed to visit it. Hope they are still as good.lol. Probably very similar for most but many of my rides are dictated by wherever I can cross a river, before being able to head off to where I want to be.

I might be wrong, but wasn’t the 350 Royal Enfield called the ‘Crusader’ back in the days when they were made in England? Or is it ‘frowned upon’ to use that terminology nowadays?

The Crusader was a 250. My next-door neighbour had the Airflow fully-faired version, back in 1962.
