I have a theory that this song is about quitting smoking. Hear me out, so "Bloodstains won't make things matter" - side effects from smoking (eg coughing up blood). "Won't make things matter got good things, got you" - the effects he gets from smoking. "Hoops and everything" - smoke rings and the such. "Get back, never get back too soon" - he's inevitably going to get back to smoking durries.

Spilling blood won't make things better/change anything. "Got good things, got you" A huge thing for many people suffering depression is to have a sense of self worth, belief in themselves and to see the value in their own life. But I think it's best people find their own interpretation. Doesn't necessarily have to be a clear cut answer. For example, to take a different point from what the person below said - it could be about a previous relationship. Bloodstains could represent lashing out, in which case it could be saying that lashing out at a person who hurt you won't make things matter or change anything, and to chin up - you've got good things, got you. That's if you take it as a message I guess. The album art is a hand making the okay sign, album title hoops. Hoops could mean being okay, I guess. Beauty of it finding your own take :)
