Hi Adam, you are still the Master of Composition. May I suggest a idea for steadying the tripod, in particular high winds at the coast and cliffs. I added to the armoury of photo aids a dog tether corkscrew and bungee cords which I keep in the back of the car for those occasions. I very pleased to see that use my idea of showing the Raw Image followed by the processed one. And I am still enjoying your book on photographs which I received from my wife Edith as a gift…

A good impression of Lewis and Harris. Indeed two totaly different surroundings. Good photowork of the coast of Harris. Thnx for showing Adam.

Thanks for another great video. I would really like to know how you processed the photo at the 12:38 mark. Pre processing the foreground water was all whitish as if covered by a mist. Post processing the white is mostly gone and replaced by greenish blue water.
@henrykuppens90972 жыл бұрын
The photo around 13:00 had my preference because of water streams drawing lines on the rocks and the color tone of the rock formations. All this kind of photos keeps on to be fascinating, raw nature at its best. Beautiful work, your colleagues will be jealous.

Your first beach is Garry Beach with the more difficult to pronounce Tràigh Mhór behind you over the headland. There was another campervan with six MacReekies in it at Tràigh Mhór, searching for you - that was a narrow squeak! Their clan's ancestral home is less than 5 miles away at Breibhig and they'd have installed you as chieftain and started cooking the gugar to celebrate. You wouldn't like gugar.

@alanatwood79952 жыл бұрын
I like the last 2 exceptionally well, but then its Scotland. You could aim your camera about anywhere . What I like most is the filter use to slow the shutter. The one just before the bw is probably my favorite bc water can create really beautiful scenes by slowing the shutter. The bw one is also a great one! It almost looks like the sea is a cauldron of witches brew. Great job AG!!

Lovely locations and photos Adam and the BnW really adds to the mood. Just my opinion, in the shots you took long exposures and the ocean is silky smooth and to me they don't show the power and excitement that a faster shutter speed would express. For rivers and streams you want the peaceful and tranquil feeling a slower shutter gives you.
@KenToney2 жыл бұрын
I would have loved to see that last shot at 1 sec or .5, just to see more detail in water but slow motion blur. I also like the 13 sec as a different style but I would get both. (I know I’m not telling you anything you don’t know). BTW I’m old as hills and been shooting since 1965! Pam loved her beanie too!!!!
