Strange how in other parts of the country, a dead mall will sit abandoned for years like Rolling Acres or Dixie Square did. Bur here in Arizona, once a dead mall has closed, it comes down or gets redeveloped pretty quickly. Strip malls are another story though.

Rolling Acres sat for so many years because the company that bought it kept using loopholes to avoid having to sell or lose the building to the city. They, of course, didn't do anything or even bother to hire security (hence why it declined so quickly) or pay taxes. Had the mall been sold to the city when the original owners lost it, Rolling Acres would have been taken down years ago or, at the very least, be a usable building.

They need to rebuild the mall and reopen
@GummyDinosaursify7 жыл бұрын
It would cost more to rebuild it than it would be to demolish and rebuild an entirely new mall. However, due to the economy of the local area, building a mall would be pointless. They're hoping a large company like IKEA or WalMart will buy up the land once they demolish it at the end of this year.

TableWrens amazon are building a big distribution centre there. The former target still has a recycling centre using it.

Speaking of Toronto, have you heard anything on what became of the former Target stores after the company's entire Canadian division shut down? There were four or five Target stores in the Toronto area alone at Target Canada's peak...???

It's being Demolished. It's too dangerous to reopen, too costly to rebuild.
