What is "home taping" and how is it killing music? (sorry, not hip to the lingo).

It's somewhat of a joke I would imagine. Back in the days of tape decks, we used to record new songs off the radio or record a friends tape & make mix tapes. Comparing that to say today & people downloading songs 'illegally' for they're playlists... One could argue that taping didn't kill music, so it should survive pirate downloading too... The image happens to be one of the various ones for 'The Pirate Bay', where some do they're illegal downloading, or so I'm told!
