It's wild how a few mines stops, albeit a small, armored attack. And everyone of them look to have died, didn't see any guys running out of the tanks. It's time to rethink anti-mining systems, I guess.

imo the mistake of the tank crews was to think they could cross a minefield without a mine clearing vehicle. if they realized their attack failed once they lost their mine clearer, they probably would've saved the other tanks. their commander probably was like "it doesn't matter, just proceed!"

It doesnt look like the mine clearing device was properly deployed in the first video, it seems to be skimming just above the dirt before the explosion. This might be due to the soil being frozen though, but would explain some of the over confidence.

@@Moimus I was able to watch the full video with intercepted radio calls and it seemed like they realized they were fucked and tried to back out but ran over mines just to the sides of the cleared lane their lead vic made. They also began to be hit by ATGMs and artillery. The final BMP had been separated from the initial advance by a few minutes so I think he didnt realize what had taken place and pushed forward thinking his friendlies must have been farther along. The radio chatter is complete chaos as the last BMP moves past the position as well.

Your mystery "explosion" is uncompressed cordite propellent charges burning off (load is a selected type of shell first, then propellent as separate parts). Probably they were surplus so they dumped them out because they are soft skinned and the part of the loadout most vulnerable to small, well aimed drone hits. Not shells, not reactive armour nor thermite, nor fuel.

I was a USMC 0352 (TOW anti tank guided missile gunner) for 7 years, 1986 - 1993. Back then we were equipped with the TOW-2A by Hughes Aircraft (now Raytheon) and the AN/TAS-4 infrared optics. That system was/is awesome! All weather, day or night, it didn't matter, we could put TOW missiles "on the wire." When a morter position is established or an artillery piece is established into a position and fire missions are performed, each shell is provided with the full charge possible. Cotton cloth bags for artillery shells, cellophane packaged charges attached to mortar rounds. When the fire mission is called from the troops in the field, the firing data coordinator figures out the sight settings for the tube or howitzer, calls out the charge number to the gun crew and the round is quickly prepared and fired. Charge bags of propellent not needed are discarded, usually into a hole nearby, and should be burned at the end of the day. Now if the gun crew are a bunch of ill-trained slobs they will often accumulate the highly inflammable bags and packages in the hole or wherever and when something sets it off like incoming fire, you see what you saw. Anybody with any experience will use the stuff to heat rations and coffee water.

What should not go unmentioned is that the conflict has been deadlocked for over a year. Both sides are sitting in wide and deep trenches. Both sides have launched numerous offensives and counter-offensives without making any significant territorial gains. Basically, it's a situation like in the First World War. Except that they are fighting with more modern weapons.

На третьей минуте четко увидел кадры подбития российской бронетехники но уже повторяющиеся и переданные уже как новые ! Так же хорошо видно , что часть российской бронетехники уже была подбита ранее и использовалась как мишень для воссоздания видео - атака дронов . Но при этих фактах много раз повторяющиеся кадры преподносятся как новые !

Jackets on the external surface of an APC cause the whole thing to explode..... Please I think the warhead strapped to the drone hitting the fuel tanks in the back doors has a lot more to do with it than some jackets.
