You are terrific. Thank you for an intelligent, interesting, and helpful podcast. The sweater you are wearing is gorgeous. I too am a knitting instructor although I do it virtually. There was more online teaching during the pandemic (which isn't over), but I still get students. I will be watching for your podcasts as they come out.

Loved the podcast - Ii have only just found you. I really enjoy long, chatty episodes, so no worry about me being fed up! I am now going to look for some of your older episodes. Jinny - UK

Hi Rhiannon! Thanks for a lovely episode, I enjoyed it a lot. It was very interesting to hear your thoughts on fit issues in knitting, and challenges to fit "any body" well. I have found the same things anoying as you mentioned, and I know people who are very small in build (type xxs pants) who also are very busty, and absolutly hate buying clothes, as nothing fits nicely. I have found that understanding a bit moore about cloths construction through sewing (I am a newbie) and watching "costubers" has helped quite a lot. I think many people also have the tendency to try to make their bodies fit the clothes, instead of building clothes to fit the look one is after, is something a lot of us do (probably most women know what I mean). It will be interesting to follow you along the journey to see what you figure out on designing for different sized humans. Thanks again, keep warm!

Yes, yes. I hope you can figure out that neckline thing especially! (I'd love to test knit for you)

You made such great points about body size & fit. it just reinforced to me the idea that designing a truly size inclusive pattern is extremely difficult,i am annoyed at the current conversation happening that is trivilizing and making it seems like its just "some math" that every designer can do. fitting a garment correctly to different sizes is extremely tasking.

my point being - yes we should push for more size inclusive patterns but pressuring designers to give larger size variety without actually understand what it takes is so frustrating.

somehow I missed this - I agree. If it's a professional designer who is really making a living from their designs, I do expect it. For the many beginners and part time designers out there I'd like to see an effort but don't hold them to the same standard.
