Imagine my surprise when xTool contacted me and asked if I would like to review their new 40w enclosed Laser.
Exactly, totally blown away, so I said yes and waited impatiently for it to arrive.

Looks like a great bit of kit and I would buy one but. Why do all these companies, not just xTool, sting customers in the UK with dollar for pound prices. The exchange rate currently is one dollar equals .79 of a pound. This machine 40w with rotary, honeycomb bed and riser is £2549 in the UK. In the US the same spec costs $2499.99. So less than £2000.

Looking to upgrade my diode laser. Can you give me an idea of what thickness plywood it will cut? Thanks.

I've successfully cut 12mm hardwood ply, not laser ply, it's surprisingly powerful

I guess he might also say “electricity - no skill” too. Must be a hand tool only person, or not a woodworker at all. I also wonder if they know that they used software to write their comment.
