The western empires used to have succession crises due to not have any sons many times. Have you not read about King Henry VIII who had married and killed and beheaded 4 of this 6 wives just to get a male heir? Your point about the ottoman vanishing is totally pointless and makes no sense. The ottomans were finished after their loss in WW1 and due to many other struggles including incompetent rulers.
