My absolute FAVORITE Law & Order character. R.I.P. Jerry Orbach 1935-2004
@aceospades2926 Жыл бұрын
In the lore of the show, each of Lennie's previous partners return briefly and discuss his death. Logan says that even knowing that he's died, he still sees Lennie in his dreams, and that he still was in contact with him all those years. Ed Green confesses that he briefly relapsed into gambling after hearing Lennie died, but that it was his strong example that got him back on course. Even Rey Curtis returns, after his wife died, and admits to someone (Lt. Van Buren, I believe) that he was still in contact with Lennie, that his kids still thought of him as their uncle, and that they even spoke shortly before he died. A beautiful touch, I think, to include this, granting the characters and the actors some finality and closure. RIP Mr. Orbach, you left a legacy that could never be replaced.

He was a wonderful actor and a fan favorite on Law and Order! Being from NYC, I knew about his eyes from the obituaries after his passing. He will always be a favorite to me and I am always amazed that he was also a song and dance man in the original cast of Broadway’s 42nd street

Tim you left out one very important part of Jerry's life, and that's the fact that he was a Jesuits Priest; it goes to Orbach's kindness and respect for others. The co stars and stage personnel had a lot of kind words for Orbach, both before and after his death, and held him in the highest regards. Orbach's many interviews on talk shows was living proof that he wasn't like his stage character at all, but just the opposite.
