I also thought 2022 season would be big around my area too for the same reasons. There were definitely more sales than in '20 and '21, but i am just not finding as many games anymore. I'm sure many different reasons for that but just from usual asking for video games one thing i noticed is more and more people are aware the values and are selling them other places like Ebay, etc now. I think its also why i can't find anything good in thrift stores either. I think those stores like Goodwill and Savers are starting to hold all the good stuff and sell them online. Really is a shame because most of the fun for me had always been the thrill of the hunt. Not so thrilling to just buy games online. It is what it is, not too upset because honestly I'm pretty much out of space in my game room. Certainly no more space for snickle-fritz lol.

You mentioned you were going to clean some of the games you'd purchased. I'd love to see a video about cleaning games, controllers and consoles. What is the most effective way of cleaning, repairing, reviving, removing stickers, or removing writing or other blemishes, without damaging? Keep up the great work!

I would be very impressed with finding any of that for a decent price at a garage sale. We have very little success here in NB. We had a big DS haul and that is about it.

Wow! Those fatal frame pickups are insane! I got mine when blockbuster was closing, way back when in my town. They were marked down to $10 each and thought nobody would have ever found a better deal on them! Congratulations. Play the second one, it’s the best

It’s all about consistency and some luck be it garage sales, thrift shops, marketplace/kijiji…the thrill is in the hunt and I’m still finding things for the collection.

Great stuff. I think last year was the first year I didn't really add anything through donations or buying lots. It has slowed alot for me in those areas. I did notice less garage sales too. I still enjoyed this video though

I haven't been in a charity shop in years & randomly decided to go in when I saw someone walking in with Blu Rays, but as I was looking through them I noticed a lady lifting a heavy box onto a desk & she pulled out a Sega Saturn my interest was peaked, I asked if I could have a look & she said "Oh we don't sell electrical goods anymore, we send them to another 2nd hand store I offered her £50 for the box & she agreed immediately, I felt bad when I opened the box as there was like 40 Sega Saturn games 4 of which were sealed. I couldn't believe my luck.

Just curious, do you think the garage sale market will eventually dry up, at least with people that aren't also collectors or resellers, and not trying to get resale market value for their items? It may just be me, but it feels like these things are already getting harder and harder to find from places like garage sales..

Sorry you didn't have alot of success i dont live in canada but i go thru times where i dont find much then i go awhile were i find alot of good stuff just depends where you go and what you're looking for i collect for abit of everything tho vinyl movies old magazines. Hopefully this summer will be better for you we have already had a lot of garage sales in our area so ya good luck.. 👍
