I don’t believe it to be sad. Regis enjoyed herself with Elvis. She still giggles when she speaks of him and she’s 85. She still has her prom dress hanging in her closet. I speak to her about every other month and she’s a real joy. But she still feels bad for not being able to tell him that she was moving and not saying goodbye.

@janm62 you're correct! My late father, Bill, Regis's big brother, told the story as you are sharing here, not a "disaster", how dramatic. I'm delighted to hear that you are such a good friend for her. Now we need to have a little reunion!

@@patsyducote I’m glad you’re a relative to Regis. I was a researcher and booking agent for an Elvis KZbin channel I had booked Regis to be on our show as a guest, her daughter said she would assist her in setting it up on her end. That’s how I met her. Sadly, one of my best friends, who ran our channel passed last October.
