Helm Hammerhand, after whom Helm’s Deep, where one of the great battles in The Lord of the Rings took place, is named, and the difficult period of Rohan during its invasion, which is the subject of Warner Bros' upcoming animated movie The War of the Rohirrim at the end of this year. Why was the name Hammerhand added to Helm, and why did Rohan face an invasion?

I know its probably not canon, but I really liked Helm's story on Shadow of War, and him having a Ring of Power and killing his daughter in a rage by accident, eventually becoming a Nazgul. Even if Helm is not one of the 9 canonically, I still wish for a movie or series about these human lords that became the Nazgul, maybe Amazon's Rings of Power will show us that.
