I had worried whether Jin's personality would change after serving a year and one half in the military. It makes me happy that Jin seems largely the same. Perhaps weathering the issues discussed in this documentary gave him a strength which left his very appealing personality in place.

It was antis and other fandoms who were giving him grief... they were actually more savage with Hobi.... fortunately with the support of Army, the seven got through it - even today they still face hatred .... but we're still there as always... we have their backs... and they have ours. On the desire to work with BTS at some point, do you know of a producer named Sleep Deez ? He has worked with BTS - he has a YT channel and reviews/breaks down their music... nothing stopping you getting into contact Frankie... He wrote and produced My Time for JK/BTS... and won a BB award for it....

Fire is also an important turning point for Jin because he related to the lyrics “Live the way you want,” “Stop trying so hard,” and “It’s okay to lose.” Of course, he always tries hard, but those words gave him permission to not be so hard on himself. Also, early in their career, Jin was given a “cold and handsome” persona by the company, so he didn’t feel free to show his goofy side until later on. That post Fire freedom allowed him to create his WWH, throwing kisses fun image that we enjoy so much. 💜

Tupac...So Many Tears....got it. 👍 I'll definitely look it up. Tbh, lyrics didn't really mean that much to me when I was younger except for a very select few songs, but BTS has completely changed how I relate to songs, both musically and lyrically. It was BTS lyrics that stopped my own plans of "un-aliving" (Epiphany), and it's BTS lyrics that keep inspiring me to movie forward in life. The power of music is amazing - BTS opened my eyes to that four years ago and not only am I still here because of that but the community I've found within ARMY has also restored quite a bit of my tattered faith in humanity. Despite all the negativity so prominently displayed in the media there are truly good people out there, not least these seven honest, open, caring, sharing, and talented young men who give hope wherever they go. Not least Jin whose uniquely sharp voice I'm able to use for sound therapy instead of about half of my former pain medication. I have a lot to be thankful to them and not least Jin for. 💜

Jin is so talented, it's amazing to me that he had no musical interests before joining the group but I believe he always had it in him and being in BTS just brought it out.I admire him so much.💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Thank you for reacting to this. You've been working hard this season! I think baby army find this video a lot when getting to know Jin, so this really comes heavily requested. This video kind of dramatizes Jin's struggles a little. 😅 I think another alternative to this are older videos, Kim Seokjin: A Documentary; or Jin's Influence and love for BTS. They show how much Jin contributed to the group's morale even at the start with the strong mindset he's got through the members' own words. Baby army tend to feel like he's been undervalued because of old fandom narratives-in truth, even the members say Jin's progress as a performer and artist has always been the most visible and consistent. And just like you said, Jin's got a strong mentality. He comes through pretty fast and even influenced the members, even RM, with his tendency to combat his challenges with hard work. ❤ Anyway, thank you so much! This was a beautiful reaction! I shed a tear with you. I hope you're having an amazing holiday season! Edit: I think you've got one of the strongest mentalities, too, Frankie. You've mentioned that he's an inspiration, and he's younger. I'm pretty sure you've been doing the same over the years upto now. Even in this platform, a lot of us are listening to you. Thank you!

I see a lot of bloodletting in the comments here so let me post some clarifications. 1. Jin family wealth - Jin’s father was appointed CEO to a SME that supplied parts to Samsung. They were upper middle class and possibly borderline rich but it happened later in Jin’s life. He was not rich from young. 2. Jin on Stay - Jin wrote lyrics along with Joon for the song. That was his participation on it. 3. The arguments around mistreatment. This is a bit complex to address. It very much depends on how you perceive it too. Jin’s line distribution - Jin had a much more ballad-y voice in the beginning because the vocal trainer they hired was ballad leaning. The other members (Tae and JK) had an interest in singing so even if the training was ballad adjacent, they leaned into their interest areas of pop r&b (JK) and jazz neo-soul (Tae). Since Jin had to train out of acting vocalisation to singing, he stuck to his training. This definitely impacted the ability to use him because the early albums were heavily pop hip hop r&b driven. (2013 - 2015) - this is the dodgy part. 2015 - 2016. The HYYH and Wings era. There were much more opportunities to use Jin and contrary to some lies propagated, he was not weak. The fancams from this era carry the truth to his vocal prowess. However, this was the era he was most insecure about his dancing. So I believe there was a cancellation effect. But it’s also the era where he eventually overcame his own insecurities. - Love Yourself era (2017 - 2018) is when Jin came into his own. There are many fandom highlight moments in group songs too (actual Armys. Not people who only like some members and Jin not being one of them). Dimple, 134340, Airplane pt 2, Crystal Snow etc. But there was still a genre thing here where heavily electro pop songs in particular didn’t have many lines for Jin. I think it’s be you cannot really add auto tune to his voice in a natural way. It sounds weird. But Jin started to gain recognition slowly in this era. - Map of the Soul era (2019 - 2020) is when I believe even the team actually finally understood how to use Jin in songs regardless of genre. He start to become a mainstay in the final pre chorus and chorus especially because his projection is fantastic so it’s great to use when the instruments come together. He’s able to show above the track too. And his prowess as a live performer was acknowledged and accepted. This includes critical acclaim as well. Mistreatment is not really the word I would use. But I do believe the team (this should have been P’Dogg’s responsibility) did not have the required knowledge to understand how to use his vocals in their songs. I say this because this problem persists with Tae too. He’s a baritone being made to constantly sing in tenor key. A lot of people brag that it shows his range without realising that his voice will eventually change and he may end up not being a baritone eventually. That is why I love ch2 for Tae. He’s singing in his key with ease and making beautiful music designed for him. I hope and pray that Tae gets to continue singing in his key in the future too. But the more short songs they make as a team to fit with industry practices, the more frustrating it is going to get. If it’s not one member, it’s another that will be impacted on the line distribution. I hope we return back to longer songs down the line.

@ thank you for reading my long comment too Frankie. I wanted to clarify before the threads are populated with overly victimising solo narratives or overly sanitised “everything is fine” Armys narrative. The truth is in the middle. This is a group that evolved with time. And since the group rarely leans into rock/ballad for their studio albums (their concerts however have a rocker aspect to them), it does hamper Jin’s ability to stand out in some ways; but he never slips on his solo songs. Same goes for Tae I’d say wrt genres and representation in BTS music sonically. But I believe we’ll see the next stage of evolution when they reunite.

It's sad that in every video you do about a single BTS member their toxic solos come crawling out of the woodworks. One of their hallmarks is not admitting a member's flaws (newsflash every human has them), thinking their chosen member can do no wrong and was allways as good at what they do like they are now (showed no improvement from debut till now) and is in some kind of argument with BigHit, Bang Shi-Hyuk, Pdogg or other managment people or being mistreated by them (disrespectful because solos treat the members like children that can't determine their own lives). Also their member allegedly hates all the other members and wants to leave the group and solos think that he is the best in the group and is the most famous. (I also saw this phenomenon on your Jimin videos) Tze real nistreatment is happing roght now by Geffen, their US distributor, who didn't ship albums on time so that Walmart and Target cancelled countless preorders last minute and didn't report all the numbers to Billboard so they couldn't be counted. Similar stuff happened to V, Jimin and RM as far as I'm aware.

Find footage that confirms that Jin once could not sing or dance. What has he improved? Have you heard "I love you"? It's an early Jin. What are you talking about? This is a wrong video, starting with the fact that his father never worked at Samsung
@opaquea24488 күн бұрын
Jin said during a voice with Jimin that his dad's company supplies to Samsung and is based on Germany. I do agree that Jin could always sing well though because he gave the best vocals during the I love you cover and that was around 2016.

@@opaquea2448 This is a legend that the old army diligently supports. The stereotype is "a rich handsome man who was hired only for that reason." Jin rarely says anything about her family. For example, his mother is not the beauty queen of Korea. Yes, there are many mysteries around him: Did Jin study for an exchange in Australia and does not know English? he entered the 200/1 competition and brilliantly graduated from the famous university in acting and at the same time could neither sing nor dance? armie found the Konkut program, there are many music courses. Jin is from a rich family (he has collectible figurines in his pre-debut, the first car is not Korean-made), he was invited by the famous SM and suddenly he chooses an unknown poor BH?
@ЕленаФайзулина-р6щ9 күн бұрын
these films are distributed, apparently, by those fans who blindly follow the managers. These films create the usual stereotypes in k-pop (be aware of the mandatory stereotypes in k-pop). One question that ruins this movie is: go back to 2012 and find Jin's "bad singing." Dancing is also questionable. I can find a bunch of evidence about Jin's plasticity and jumping ability. But everyone repeats these stupid stereotypes created by Shihek. It is much more interesting to create a film about the confrontation between Jin and Shihek. And yes, thank you: Jin was criticized not by journalists, but by fans. They still hate him.
