When you hear guys like Jeff Porcaro say that Jim Gordon was "the best", you realize how great he really was. But his ultimate story is so tragic it's beyond words.

What Jim Gordon needed most was to be in a band where he was a valued member, like Bonham in Zeppelin, not just a sideman.

Great drummer sound the way he tuned his terms I mean top five drummer in the world zeppelin’s drummer drummer you got cream, drummer, and what was awesome about him if he could swing, he could play anything. And I know what like to screw up and think that the dope answer deep pockets can really fuck you up.

I always wondered why he wasn't locked up in a mental institution instead of a prison.
@susanedrington48782 ай бұрын
@@dannydine5263 He did spend time at Atascadero I really liked his psychiatrist at California Men’s Collony. The staff all loved Jim. When I visited him, he was taking meds. He was amazing. Also, when he called me, we laughed. The calls were not gloom and doom. I did not record the calls. That would be rude. He would never have done that to me if the roles were switched. I still cannot believe he is gone. I lost him in March 20/3 and my mom in 2023. They said hello to each other on a few of my calls. My mom promised me she would look for Jim for me. I lost her in July. 2023 to triple negative breast cancer. I miss both of them so much my heart is heavy typing this. Two great loves. I did find out from Jim’s previous manager that he had heart isssues. He did not tell me. He was private about sharing that information. I have had 2 strokes in 2022 and 2023. I wrote and told him about the first one He stopped writing me. I am sure it shocked him and he did not know what to say to me. It is okay. I feel he watches out for me now. He is free of that horrible disease.
