My LCS that does breaks was complaining during the break about lack of numbered card's in jumbo boxes. And remember you have to have approval to break if you're topps direct like he is,so basically they're completely screwing the LCS's over.

I bought a case of jumbos, and there was literally just a few numbered cards out of 6 whole boxes, it was absolutely ridiculous

Big problem with the collation! Seems everyone is falling far short of complete set! Two Jumbos and 3 jumbo pack ......only one complete set and short of a second by 47 cards.

I agree that Hobby and Jumbos should have the majority of big hits but they need to find a balance with putting parallels in each of the products. I definitely don't agree with the way Panini does it because the only way to hit any good cards is to pay out the nose for their expensive products.

I like it!! Time to let other people who don't have thousands to get a chance for a big one!! Im sure all the really rich folks will find a way to get it!! ...Some little kid and his dad could score a para and he could keep it for him and sell it when he graduates !! I think the high end like Sapphire Chrome etc will still be stacked !! Topps likely understands you have to have a chance 2 win big sometimes in cheap packs for the future of the hobby!! Also hobby boxes are not going to break a good shop!!

All of those products you mentioned can still be found everywhere in my area, 2023 series 1, heritage, heritage high number and stadium club are everywhere still

I don’t disagree with what you’re saying, I’m sure the LCS community is ticked off. I’m sure Topps is going to hear from them. However last year it was the opposite and I’m sure Topps got an earful from MJ Holding and Excel Marketing as they still have a warehouse full of 2023 products. 2023 Topps Series 1 anyone? The fact is they-Topps and Fanatics-are printing far too many cards given the size of the collecting community.

its easy to say its going to rain after it starts . retail has been giving up hits but are they any good names ? they are smart people and just boosting retail sales by making you think you are getting something . look for some big name hits to come out of hobby formats in the near future .

My fanatics blasters were delivered this morning. I went one hobby, one blaster and 15 hangers. Completed my base set last night. As far as Elly's.... I have pulled 5 base, no issue there. Hit an Evan Carter yellow. As far as comparing....... gotta say hangers were more profitable. Let you know about these Fanatics......

I'd love to see some kind of MLB logo or image that could be made with the base cards in each box. Put all 1-100 together and it makes a cool picture or something. Otherwise, the base cards are just trash.

i bought two hobby boxes and i am 73 base cards short of completing the base set but i did get a 1989 35th anniversary black border relic of marco Luciano numbered to 199 out of the first box in the second box a regular 1989 35th card of cade Marlowe and i got an orange 1989 35th anniversary auto card of bo jackson numbered to 25 in the silver pack out of the second box

You can also blame the hobby shops for there prices on hobby boxes they should be 50 dollars for a hobby and 100 for a jumbo like it used to be

I bought an entire case of jumbos, and 2 hobby boxes, I want to do a collaboration with you grip n Rip, to show people what a case of jumbos actually looks like when you open it, I will tell you right now, out of 6 jumbos, two were fantastic, 3 were absolutely terrible, and one was mediocre at best, the two hobby boxes almost out performed 6 jumbos

There is also the issue of poor quality control in terms of hits. I know too many people complaining of missing autos in jumbos, and there are those who have gotten multiple autos out one box. One guy got two numbered Elly autos out of a single jumbo. Another guy got four autos out of a hobby box. Fanatics absolutely destroyed hobby this year.

I was fortunately luckier than you with my two hobby boxes, pulled an Evan Carter auto to /299, a mike trout hfa, and several other hits, but I also had 3 horrible jumbo boxes, I mean absolutely horrible jumbo boxes, zero hits

I opened 2 jumbo and 2 hobby and pulled nothing zip nil nada.. I got took by topps mean while bought 2 hangers from walgreens and pulled a numbered blue and a gold and the yellows.. didn't hit any big names but was better then hobby not buying any more hobby

My hobby box was very disappointing, I got one hanger box and it was better than my hobby and no elly base card after spending 100 bucks I'm done with series 1

Let me put on my tinfoil hat real quick. I am convinced that star chase players have a smaller print run than other cards. It seemed that over the past few years, I pulled Wander, JRod, and Corbin base rookie cards at a lower rate than other players. I’m sure there’s a level of observational bias involved, but I can’t help but think that Topps would benefit by decreasing the chase cards to encourage more ripping.

I opened 3/4 of a case of blasters and so far pulled 12 Elly, 12 JD, 10 Carter base. Also got Elly blue, holiday, chrome, JD rabbit holiday, Gelof blue and Two heavy lumbers, Bryce Harper and Jazz. I’m pretty happy with my blaster case so far. The orange, purple and Mother’s Day cards I pulled so far were non star.
