Crispy, I want to thank you. I am not a veteran but I did 26 years as a firefighter and EMT. I suffer from PTSD and other mental problems. Each day is a struggle, most not being able to leave my house. It's my loving wife and you that get me through each day. Thank you and Crispy On!

You put on a different uniform. The emotional toll is worse in many aspects because people don’t want to hear about it. It’s a different kind of battle that takes and is silent. Thank you brother. I don’t have friends to hang out with or a partner, it’s just me caring for my mother (dementia). I miss the Army. Really, always having someone around you. Does that make sense? You and other veterans with YT channels keep me going. Hooah!

As a civilian,I have the highest respect for our military, I don’t care what branch. I tried to get in at 21 years old,went through MEPS. And wasn’t accepted because I had epilepsy as a child. It hasn’t been a factor in my life for 40 years. So I just want to say my deepest respect for you men and women protecting our country. Love you guys.

Dear Crispy, I served from 02/2001 - 02/2007, I never saw combat or been shot at, I did combat support for OIF and OEF. I have seen the hell on earth my brothers have had to endure from the distance. I have struggled wondering what my purpose was in life. I really felt insignificant and worthless because I never went down range to be by my brothers side. When I got out of the military I promised our fallen brothers that I would live my life to the fullest. I promised never to take their sacrifice for granted. We both have the same mission after the military. Just live life to the fullest make our brothers who have fallen in battle proud. It's what we all would want for our families and friends to do. Live free and happy. Be the best you can be every day. I love you brother, I know you have many challenges, and we are very proud of Crispy just by being Crispy. I have to constantly remind myself I just have to live the best life I can do honor my fallen brothers. We have the same mission. I'm always checking in on your videos, I am a fan of my brother.

This hit close to home. My wife and I nearly drown in the Red Sea off of Jeddah when I was out there contracting (private beach, no one anywhere near us). Crispy I just wanted to say thank you for sharing this. And I could tell how tough it was getting through that, and it just shows what a true kind soul you are. I'm not a veteran, they turn me down for physical reasons, so I took my dream of being a Navy medic and became a civilian paramedic. I did that for about two decades, and because of some stupid choices that I made, I basically walked away from a career that I loved . Can't blame it on anybody but myself, though I've tried to. In a completely relate to you saying that you had lost your purpose, because I felt the same way. I'm now into my 50s, disabled and living by myself with my little best friend, and adopted pug. And he's been the reason that I keep going. And I'm at that point you were, where I'm trying to figure out what my purpose is. I think I have it figured out though I'm not really sure. But seeing what you pushed through daily is giving me the inspiration to start pushing through myself. I love watching your videos, and I turned to him when I need some inspiration. God bless you my friend, and hopefully in the near future I can share and let you know that I did find my purpose

Thanks for sharing this story brother not all hero’s wear a uniform but you once did and your still saving lives. Even if it’s only one that’s more than most can say. I’m lucky enough to have the privilege and honor to say that I have help 7 ppl get off of opiates. I don’t know if I saved any of there life’s but there much happier today. I remember your post on IG when you posted this. This was my former brother -in-law and sister-in-law. Thanks for posting and honoring the both of them. I remember where I was when he called me and told me the news, it was Easter Sunday and my former wife and youngest daughter had just arrived at my parents house for lunch. He has remarried and is a pastor in Kansas now. Thanks again for honoring their story.
