@stevedownie13782 жыл бұрын
The fact you have enough self-reflection to think and worry about ending up like the guy in the video is enough to not end up like him. I am 28 and not married and single. Am I happy about it? No... Do I sometimes feel like a failure because of it? Yes... But I am doing fine in all other aspects of my life. My self-confidence is just so low I've never been able to ask women out on a date. I will pay a huge price for this eventually. End up lonely and die alone. But I am still well educated, independent, with a solid career and do my best to behave kindly and positively towards others. Anyway I hope you will all find partners eventually and achieve everything you wish in life!

@@stevedownie1378 My older brother had his 40th birthday party. I was there with his friends. He had a slide show in which he presented everyone of his friends. It was funny and in a good way. Then my slide came up. It was all about me being single. 'Is he preparing to be a monk or something?', suggesting I was still a virgin, which I was not. Even his friends, who I also know, looked at each other, like this isn't very nice. My brother laughed though. And we wouldn't come to my 40th birthday party with MY friends. He doesn't want to know them. A long time friend of mine told my brother (to thank him) that he was inspired by artists he discovered and he later found out about through me. My brother didn't even reply, giving the look of who the F*** are you.
@searedscallops3182 жыл бұрын
@@stevedownie1378 I know that it's easier said than done, but try not to feel too bad about it. There's a lot that can be said on the subject, but the short version is that marriage truly is overrated for the most part, and it's "not all that it's cracked up to be". Why do you think that about 50% of marriages end in divorce, and most romantic relationships that people get into fail? How many of those people in legally intact marriages are genuinely "happily married" instead of just tolerating each other? It makes me think of those "vows of love" as meaningless, especially when I think of my relatives who've been married multiple times.

@@Samuelroberts34 Son, I don't know what kind of hell you've gone through that you ended up as delusional and bitter as you are, but you need to snap out of it. I'm sorry your experience has been so terrible, but you are most certainly wrong in your assumptions. Human beings are MEANT to pair bond. Sleeping around with a bunch of different women is both extremely unnatural and extremely harmful to humans. It is quite literally the cause of all STDs, among other things. People often try to rationalize their lust with the "we're just animals" argument, but it's not even true. Humans are not animals in any sense other than the technical scientific classification (in that we do not fall under bacteria, mineral, or plant life, etc.) We have never BEEN animals. We did not evolve FROM animals. We are human beings with higher rational function than "that girl is pretty I want to sex her." We did not develop higher thinking over time, we have literally ALWAYS had it, from the first human ever to exist until now. To lower one's self to that of a morally reprobate beast is a crying shame, and not at all a pathway to real happiness. As much as this might surprise you, most men have never cheated, and most women haven't either. Loyalty is neither as rare or as difficult as you seem to believe. Also, as a side note, "Isn't a virgin" is not the same thing as "is a whore." Personally yes, I do gravitate away from women who sleep around a lot, and I would never in my life date someone like that. But as a whole, women don't become useless or gross just because they aren't virgins. In an ideal world, yes, all non-married people, male and female alike, would be virgins, as that is objectively the most beneficial both to society as a whole (as evidenced by the fact that every single civilized nation in history has accelerated their collapse after embracing hedonism and sexual promiscuity, even more so when it is homosexual in nature just as a bonus fact) and to the physical well being of humans from a biological standpoint, but that doesn't mean everyone falling lower than the ideal standard is worthless. Marriage is a wonderful thing. Commitment to one woman is infinitely more satisfying than an infinity of meaningless trysts, and I hope some day your eyes are opened to that truth.

@@christiandenton2174 Yeah true that. That's why I'm so scared I'm gonna end up like my brother
@limepop3404 жыл бұрын
IIRC male-pattern baldness is X-linked, meaning the dad’s hairline has nothing to do with the son’s. Edit: To elaborate, the main gene responsible in on the X chromosome, which is always given to male progeny by the mother (the father must give a Y chromosome, otherwise the child is a girl). Therefore any genes expressed by the X chromosome in a father will not be passed down to his son. A son’s hairline is completely unrelated to his father’s, so to get a picture of what his hair situation will look like, he should refer to males on his mom’s side (but not, say, his mom’s dad’s dad). If your mom’s dad went bald, that’s at least 50% for you. If your mom’s brother is going bald, that’s at least 25% for you (mom’s mom had the bald gene). If both, at least 75%.
