Over the past two decades, the Toronto band The Sadies have built a reputation around the world with blistering live sets and mind-blowing psychedelic recordings. Singer and guitarist Dallas Good, who sadly died earlier this year, was an integral part of that. Dallas's brother and bandmate Travis Good sat down with Tom Power along with drummer Mike Belitsky to talk about Dallas's impact on the Canadian music scene and what's next for the band.

The Sadies , They are the best rock band in the world. They changed my life for the better. They deserve all the love they get. And all their friends and family.

The Sadies are and will always be the best live band, ever. Their music and their live shows here in Toronto (The Horseshoe, Lee's etc.) have been such a constant part of my adult life (for more years than I want to admit) that my identity is intrinsically linked to their presence. Wonderful interview. Dallas is so very missed and Travis , Sean amd Mike are so beloved.

Have to say, that was such a great interview. Touching and sensitive with genuine respect, given the circumstances. Hope to see the Sadies back in Ireland some day and Travis.. no need to change your guitar sound. That Old Gretch and Fender amp combo is one of the greatest guitar sounds I’ve ever heard. Best wishes Sadies👍

I hurt. HURT. I can only imagine how that they feel as FAMILY/band. My favorite band for TWENTY YEARS was the Jayhawks. Then I saw y’all open for them November 8th 2003 in Memphis… My allegiance didn’t necessarily change, but, y’all stole the show. I loved y’all since that night. Please go on 😢

Great interview Tom Power! Cheers to the boys and to Dallas’s family! Travis’s thoughts on the strangeness of life now resonates greatly with me. Eveything is different now. Much respect

I went to highschool with Sean. On my Honeymoon in 2005 I paddled from Whitehorse to Dawson City, paddled into town during the Dawson City music festival and the Sadies were headlining ( did not know this till we got there) was nice to see the good ol boys from school at the ends of the earth. Still listen to their first album from time to time.

I wasn't aware until just now that Dallas passed. Im very sad to hear that. Thats such a loss. I saw The Sadies a few years back in New Haven, CT and they were amazing - played and sounded great. I hope they do continue to make music together.
