Say what you want, but this was an insanely impressive directorial debut.

The fun fact is Taiwan used to be called "The dessert of horror movie," as a huge fan of horror movie, I am really glad that director did this movie, but before this movie, we hardly have this kind of gore horror movie, Taiwan's film makers did some this kind of movies maybe three times? but those movies are really...fucked up, that's why we usually do romance comedy or some drama things so in the same opinion, people thought "The sadness" is another "Train to Busan" or something like Korean Drama "Sweet Home" and apparently, the marketing company really wanted to promote this movie like another "Train to Busan" I deeply doubted that the marketing company's people didn't see this movie, and just promoted by its trailer, but anyway, I am really happy with this movie, and lucky to see it on Jan 22nd though my friend was disgusted by it and happy that Rob did this movie, finally let the world know Taiwan also can make this kind of movie.

The fact the man did not acknowledge the later crossed comics where they became more intelligent and calculating is quite sad, because while there were basic dumb crossed natural selection kinda wiped them out and left the more intelligent individuals that eventually led to more calculating and communitive infected. The point was the evolution of evil, hell in the first series we legit meet a proto intelligent crossed named "horsecock" who spent his time taunting his prey and saving them for more screwed up atrocities. I think this dude might have picked up like, one issue and read it then took everything at face value, either way though its cool we got ta film inspired some what by this comic.
@alexandertorrente1982 жыл бұрын
he probably read the base comic, and skipped on the opther versions, which again, is fine, i feel like alot of badlands has kind of a... mad max kind of vibe to it, its a bit to much for a horror movie imho, and psychopath/ FV were kind of just... eh, psychopath wasn't bad, don't get me wrong, but it wasnt the same

@@alexandertorrente198 I'd argue cross plus 100 and plus 100 mimic was pretty good, along with the whole family values and smokey stories.
@alexandertorrente1982 жыл бұрын
I did just watch the movie, I can say that he did a pretty dang good job at mimicking what the crossed were about, with some improvements to the way they speak imo, they even still had a strange liking towards using gardening tools! one thing that wasn't done so well was the shear level of violence in the comic, but this can be chocked up for having to work with the movie overlords
