I've been wanting to build in the new caves under the new huts for some time. As I need a rest from building the base I think now is the time.

Considering how the game ends if your companions are still alive, it's a shame they can't join us in cave bases. That's all that stops me from making more than a tarp in caves. AWESOME VIDEO! I love the adventure!! 💜💜💜

Dude I tried to do the same and for several hours I made a zipline system across the entire map just to realize they made it so you couldnt build down there anymore in the 1.0 update. I feel like unaliving myself rn

I’ve already built a base at that location on one of my maps. You can clean the floor up better too if you plaster it with the deer hide rugs (vs the one you placed) as opposed to looking at the rock ground.

i have built ontop of the huts and linked 3 buildings together by rope bridges,inclosed the perimiter and laid a stone floor down.

I managed to get lights down there as well as the lamps ect. It's very limited for wood logs though.

Just when I think I know this game I don’t. Seeing those gold icons on your stats bar in the right I am guessing are buffs and no idea how to get them. Time to watch some more videos. Keep up the great work.

Purple on sleep icon is energy drinks and bars. The Greg stew gives extra buff icons too. Buffstats in the console command gives different color buffs as well.

to get the buffs you need to place a cooking pot onto fire with water and hover over the gear icon and there will be a list of cooking options with what buffs will be rewarded if you mix the right ingredients

They patched it, so I built in one of the houses that has 2 doors, it's very safe, you just have to build 2 doors at each entrance with logs from the inside, and place traps outside. A very cool and safe place 👍

The cabin I'm building on top of has a small lake right by it and a cave basement. The downside is that it's on a main road and I have yet to have a break in getting attacked. The base is untouchable however. I like the new cabins but I think there's 9 of them in the game now and that's way too many

I never actually thought about building on top of one of them. The cannibals and mutants really don't like going in the cabins so it's a nice location. The one I built under seemed OK with attacks as it's kind of out the way.

The water shouldn't freeze in the winter either. Maybe see if you can get fish then? XD

One trick I learned on the Knight V was don't touch your mouse or right thumbstick when you're using it.. just move with the keys or left thumbstick.. Once I started doing that I had zero issues with falling.. maybe it just works for me, but it worked for me!

Yeah I've started doing that now with the mouse. It works so much better like that. I still fall off though but that's because I crash into stuff.

@@Kills4ThrillsGaming i was bummed. Seems like you can build stuff in any of the caves that have an entry animation (slipping between the rocks) but i havent been able to build in any open air caves that dont have it.

Think the safest place on the map is by the original lake that never freezes. There is a small strip you can build a 2x3 cabin, enough room at the end to build a garden, nothing can get to that spot, because there is a rock outcrop blocking everything, we can get over it, nothing else can. Water and fish all year. It's on the other side of the waterfall to where we built in your multiplayer game. 😁

I agree! Actually if you have enough pation, then you can build in the middle of the lake ( without any cheat!) Safest base ever ( actually you can build pretty big base...like 10×10 at least) Deep water arround the base is unbeatable

Yeah , that's my favorite place for first base. The cannibals won't go on the little island or the shallows below the water fall so all your logholders are safe. The Rocky peninsula or the little one in the lake can be closed off by a short fence or wall. Plenty of fish and squirrels. Love that place! Kills' last base tour was on a game where I just got carried away.

Yeah that place is safe but it's nice to mix it up a bit. That's probably one of the best looking locations.
