As the elder whose story concluded this episode related how the purpose Missionary Handbook's rules is to provide guidance that keeps full-time missionaries safe rather than merely being restrictions, I felt prompted to think of the scriptures as being the handbook that provide guidance to us all. Heavenly Father loves us enough to have inspired not only prophets, seers, and revelators throughput time, but many gifted, courageous, and righteous people who helped bring the scriptures as we know them into the world. I haven't always pondered and prayed as I've read and studied them; it's certainly worth the effort. I'm grateful that elder shared his story, because I know eternal life will be as marvelous as any mission and I don't want to miss out on it because I was careless and didn't live the gospel. Thank you.

I have always been a little worried about riding my bike and the front tire coming off especially when I'm going really fast (almost 30 miles per hour) down a hill.
