This has me on the edge of my seat.😮 Edit: Wonderful ending. Brought tears to my eyes. I'm stuck in bed todY. I'm disabled and today has started off rough. Thank you for this story. I think you may not know how much your channel means to some of us. I wish I wasn't on such a small fixed income. I'd most certainly support your channel. But I will continue to pray for your continued success with your channel and your book and all your endeavors. God bless y'all. Again, Thank you. Have a wonderful day ❤🙏 From small town Tennessee

AMEN! I got on disability two years ago for autism...not sure it was the best choice; but it has just gotten virtually unbearable to try to function in today's world with this condition! The small "fixed" income is creating other problems for me that are not easily solved, along with an unforgiving abusive family, that has made the decision to criminalize me and my situation!?! The story was a nice diversion from the unbearable constant worries of the immediate future!

I grew up with a German shepherd as my pet. He was born a few months before I was so we literally grew up together. When i was a baby, my mom would put me in a playpen in the yard while she was tending to her flowers or doing yard work. My mom told me that one day she had went in the house to get water and left me in the playpen next to a tree in our front yard. While she was inside she said she heard a racket outside and when she looked out the window a man was hurriedly getting in his car and speeding away. She said she ran outside and our dog was standing in front of my playpen growling. She said the only thing she could figure is that man tried to abduct me and the dog attacked him and ran him off. Throughout my childhood until he died when I was 13, King and I were always together. I miss him to this day even after nearly 50 years since he died.

Best story I've heard in my life. Also, Lesson learnt is, we should pay attention when our dogs indicate to us that we need to leave the place. They no doubt have superior senses than us and we should make full use of that to keep dog & us safe from the danger that it has sensed and we haven't.

Thank Goodness Eli's father let him keep that dog. Almost every dog that we have owned was an unwanted mongrel. Many of them were not pretty to look at. Some of them had been treated very badly before they were dumped. One of them was to be euthanized at a dog pound; but, my youngest brother paid for him and brought him home. Mom always said, "My dogs are my eyes and ears." Mom lived independently until she was 91 years old. As she kept getting older, her dogs stayed close to her. They followed her everywhere she went at the old home place. Are there dogs and cats in Heaven? I don't think it would be Heaven without them. When you have a pet (or pets) you are never alone; and, if it is a rescued dog or cat it may become your best friend for the rest of its life.
