Thanks for the tips. I so wish you would do a very basic segmented piece for us beginners. Perhaps where each ring only has four pieces.

If you go thru his videos earl has quite a few a starter bowls. Personally I would not do less than 8 segs per ring, 12 being a better number

The amount of segments is irrelevant once you have Earls cheat sheet or i use segmented pro by woodturner pro with an increase 3000 SE I have some videos to help, check ‘em out.
