Would this reel in 6/7/8 go with the t&t contact 2 10’8” 6 wt ? Any help will be appreciated!!! Thanks!!

T&T contact 2 is an excellent rod! The Arbor XL would be a fine reel to pair with it. It weighs in at 6.5 ounces naked, around 8 ounces with line which will balance your 6 weight 10'8 well TT C2 very well.

@@cstarsfly The notion that you need to balance a nymphing rod the same you'd do with a dry fly rod is erroneous. You need MUCH larger and heavier reel and that makes the whole system clumsy. The right way is to pick a real good nymph rod, real light and then put a miniature 2-3 reel on it. I live in Europe and nymph fish 70% of the time so don't ask how I know.

@@tonyg3091 Setups will come down to differences in opinions. Many people prefer a reel that helps the rod tip "float" in the air while nymphing. Others prefer as little weight in a reel as possible which more often translates into people using a term such as; "tip heavy" There are advantages and disadvantages to both, but they are just preferences.
