It's looks great. Secure your cushions. A BUNGAEE will do the trick. So when you drive over bumpie terrain the cushions don't fall of the bed... 😊

You missed a trick with that bed leg, if you welded on a couple of cross beams (or angle irons to take wooden steps) you could have done away with the collapsible step up. Glad that you are now getting some recognition with sponsors and collaborations, it is well deserved.

Let’s talk about safety instead of T T T, because it’s a box closed off with gasburner and bottles I would suggest a Carbon Monoxide detector installed and only then the build is completed and ready for a field trip. The van looks absolutely amazing, great layout. You have a great eye for detail Jess! (Excluding the bungees of course) 😊. The shadow foam looks fab, I used a yoga mat and cut out holes for our mugs etc and sweat bands around bottles to stop the rattles. But ‘we’ plan to redesign our storage cupboard and wardrobe, so you’ve given me loads of ideas which I’m sure hubby will enjoy creating/building 😂. See you next week 😬

Wow been watching a while and I won't lie, Camper Vans are more my other half's sort of thing. But to watch how clever this has been done is amazing, thank you so much for the videos and what a nice Van it has turned out. I think for upcycling the older Sainsbury's and other delivery vans stock it is a great idea and needs to be put into production. I will agree the content has been well produced, its fun, informative and always has my interest. You 2 have a great chemistry as well which helps immensely.

Fantastic build you guys, honestly learnt a lot and especially made a note for useful tools to buy. Its amazing to see what you achieved in 8 weeks👏🏻👏🏻, I have seen videos where they take years and it doesn't look half as good as yours. I totally agree with what you said, always best to see different vans than rely on youtube and pictures. I would make a list of what is essential, maybe make a measurement so when you do see the vans, take a tape measure with you to see if it works out. I think for me, this is the first I have seen where a Sainsbury delivery van has been used and looks damn impressive. Another thing, impressive place you have, workshop, house and lots of land to convert in peace. You guys are living the dream.

Cheers mate that would be a dream that, it’s weird with the like and subscribe thing, I kind of cut my nose off to spite my face with it as like you say it’s helpful as I think it works but I also remember how annoying it was before I started KZbin and was watching others, It was a no brainier collaboration this one as I love the product, when I was on the tools I did a similar thing myself with a bit of foam and a router, organising my tool box was my favourite part of the job 😂 Cheers for the comment mate 👍

The gas locker might need heating. The gas bottles cool as gas comes out of its liquid state. When it gets too cold it stays liquid. I learned that lesson in Scotland. At night while trying to brew up on a cold night. But that was nowhere near as cold as a Nordic winter. Electric heating tape, as used to stop plumbing freezing, round the in use bottle might be enough.

Love watching this build. To be onest the quality is the best I seen so far on KZbin builds. I like your eyes for details. If I ever want to have a van to go on holiday I think this will be the setup. Good job can't wait to see it on the road.

Wow, that shadow foam is revolutionary!! 8 weeks is something! I think bungees on board are a fun way of keeping things in place. We always pack too much and things will move, so you n er know when you’re going to find a use for them! 😂

Rumour has it John uses a bungee cord as a belt and is looking for a way to bungeify his shoe laces. I'm sure you already know but a tip to help with the bowing of wood blocks made from multiple boards is to alternate the grain of each board so that if (when) they cup as they dry out they cup in the opposite direction to each other and it kind of evens out.

i think i agree with Jon in the intro. the build is literally half the fun for me. ive built every single car ive ever owned from an empty shell, starting in 1994. i love building cars almost as much as driving them, so its a win win for me if i hafta put it together!

Wow, I just found your channel and binge watched the entire van build and I am just blown away. I've seen quite a few van build videos but using one of these ex-fridge sprinter vans is such a clever idea. The space that it gives inside is just unreal and you have just done a SUPERB job. Also, it is infectious watching the two of you interact - several times I have found myself laughing out loud and that's a first watching a van build video I can tell you 🙂. Yet another great video! Your previous one especially had me rolling around in laughter!! And they are so professionally produced with great content and super tips for other builders. On the issue of weather for this adventure though - I have a few comments! I have taken a caravan to ski resorts and stayed there in the cold also into Sweden in the real cold at -25C so have some experience. Please don't underestimate the cold - I guarantee that your water pipes will freeze unless you can keep your heating on 24/7 and then you may get away with it. But I think that you only had a single heater outlet with various holes in cupboards to allow airflow - correct me if I am wrong? But at these temps you will ned to run heating duct through some of the cupboards that have water tanks/pipes in them to stop them freezing. Also you need to make sure your toilet doesn't freeze especially the little pipe for the pee that feeds into the tank. They are very prone to freezing!! Finally consider the waste water tank for the shower and any other water pipes under the van. In sub-zero temps no water should be kept in the waste water tank. The way to do that is have a drain tap at the bottom of the tank and keep it open all the time. If you need to collect the waste water use a bucket underneath. Then you can get the block of ice out of the bucket and chuck it!! If you collect water in the waste tank you may well be driving around with a block of ice in there all winter until you get to warmer temps. Enough said but happy to answer any queries. Finally keep up the great videos and enjoy you travels to the arctic. Simply the Best!!

Thanks very much Ian for the tips, So we have 2 vents from the night heater, one in the living space and one in the shower, so the toilet should be ok, We are going to leave the heating on 24/7, we have it set up on a thermostat control so the van should never drop below 15 degrees hopefully and we will probably have it at about 22 when in the van, all the pipes and tank are off the floor and walls to allow air flow around them and also and I have installed 2 vents between the living and the garage area so hopefully the heat should circulate quite well, The exterior waste tank is only for the shower and the tap will be open all the time and we will only shower where we are able to have the water run straight out, the waste tank for the sink is inside the van so we should be good with that one 👍
