The Sam Rayburn Flood! Inches Away From A New Lake Level Record.

So you guys wanted to see some flood waters well here it is!
In this video I grabbed my drone and went to the areas I could safely get in. Majority of the parks are closed and they wont let anyone in to film so I did the best that I could. In this video you'll see Mill Creek Park, Twin Dikes, Sam Rayburn Marina Resort, Rattlesnake Island and the Dam. I wasn't going to fish but had to pull out the bream rod at the end of the video. Hope you guys enjoyed the video!

Appreciate the views. That twin dikes looks like a hellava road bed to fish. All spring long I cried for it to come up some so I could flip my wings off and now I’m over here almost in Mississippi perch jerking and frogging hoping they’ll both go DOWN! C’est la vie! I’m from Broaddus and live near Harvey creek. I work out of town so I haven’t got to see much of the lake recently. Did some fishing while I was home memorial weekend near ayish bayou and it’s crazy how high the water is.

It really is! I hope they can start letting more water out. The lake this high with hurricane season here isn’t good. I’m going to head back up there in two weeks and try to do some more filming of the areas I didn’t get to.

Lots of people are launching off the highways. I seen trucks and trailers all over the side of the roads. Now I’m not sure if that’s legal Or not. My luck id get a ticket 😂

That was on my list to film but they had the road completely blocked off. There were lots of police and park rangers everywhere. I didn’t want to get a ticket. I’m waiting on the Corp to get back with me to see if I can go in.

We have a house on Toledo. I actually live in Houston but pulled security cam and the water is almost over the retaining wall the boat dock is semi submerged. What's the latest on water in the area?

Both lakes are super high. When I fished the Big Bass Splash there were parts of peoples boat docks floating all over the lake!

@@qwerteisicleene9135 I know a lot of bass are shallow. What I like doing this time of the year is flipping the cypress trees and big willow trees. I usually do real good on heavy texas rigs with beaver style baits.

@@qwerteisicleene9135 oh yeah I fish it mostly in the summer. I actually have the catch and release record on there for Largemouth. Caught it memorial weekend a few years ago. It’s a great lake to fish and it doesn’t see much pressure at all.

I did a little research and what I was told by the Corp is they can’t let any water out until the neches and Angelina rivers go down below Rayburn. Dam B is 100% wide open and can barely keep up. They really need to install another dam at Dam B.
