As a 50+ years fan of the Detroit Lions, Sunday was a little tough. But all sport seasons end mostly in disappointment and championships are extremely rare. At any level. Still, game respects game and the San Francisco 49ers and Brock Purdy showed what they were made of. Levi Stadium and the entire Bay Area was lit as the Niners staged a comeback for
the ages.

@@ryaneugenelawrencewalls1987, as a die-hard Niners fan who lives deep in enemy territory of Wisconsin, I would root my ass off for the Lions if they had beaten us for several reasons: 1. They've never been there, and they deserve it. I thought the same thing of Matt Stafford when he beat us to go; he deserved it after all his years wasted in Detroit. Had they won, even as bad as it was going into the half, I would have been hoping for their first SB victory. Frankly, their year is 2024, after how they played this year. 2. I will almost always root for any team that's a divisional opponent to GB. On days they play another team I hate, I usually hope for a natural disaster to end the game. 3. I'm sick of hearing about Mahomes in the playoffs and the Super Bowl. He's quickly taking over for Brady as the most universally hated QB from opponent teams, so I'm pretty sure that comes with the "GOAT" status Brady has that Mahomes is chasing. 4. A Lions' win in the Super Bowl would have shut down this annoying Traylor Swelce soap opera the NFL is shoving down our throats everywhere. I want that shut down so badly, which is why I know the cards are stacked against NFC team going into it with that crap. So, I already planned on rooting for any NFC team against the Chiefs if they were heading to the Super Bowl. Even if it ended up being the Packers, though, I'd still hope for the aforementioned natural disaster (like someone with lactose intolerance ends up with dairy farts that clear out the dome or someone forgets to pay the electric bill in Vegas, of all places).

I was there at the game!!! During half time I seen a lot of non believers!!! I keep it on telling everyone around me don't give up hope!!! I won’t lie I was down for a little bit and I keep drinking and I was getting sad my girlfriend comes and says I’m sorry bb I said is okay bb,but inside of me I was not okay plus everyone there was dolphins and bengals they all want the lions to win and keep saying the niners not coming back from there is almost half of the game but my head was in San Jose and San Francisco Bay eating hot dogs and remember my good days when I was living there and I was thinking in the 49ers game from the beginning of the season and I was having faith and I was telling myself we are the 49ers we can’t not lose this match after the second half and we get the touchdown I see my team was playing like we always do and yes I was happy then another touchdown everyone looked at me and wondering what just happened 🤣
