When it gets to this point, it’s a fantastic film. The effects are undeniably great. But man it’s a proper slow start and it always knackers me before the film starts. Nonetheless, a huge love and respect to Ray Harryhausen. Just a genius effects man.

Oh yes, I remember. This is from The Beast From 20,000 Fathoms in 1953. 2 years before It Came From Beneath The Sea came out. I wish The Beast From 20,000 Fathoms in 1953 was colorized. Speaking of The Beast, I also heard that the tentacles of this octopus were used as Dinosaur Tails for some other Film. No doubt that 1956 Film by Warner Bros. who released The Beast From 20,000 Fathoms.
