Please remember this when designing trucks, nothing fancy, just well built, easy to work on, reliable, and will last generation. All for a reasonable price.

My Grandfather worked for GM for 35 years. He was the wisest man I have ever known. He was a diehard GM guy and could build or fix anything. My father was never in the picture any part of my life. My Grandpa took me under his wing and taught me everything I know. I too was the kid getting asked about college after high school but chose the construction industry during and after high school. Construction has provided an excellent life for my family. I owe every thing to who I am today to my Grandpa. He made me a diehard GM fan as well. Current ponies in my stable (‘71 C10, ‘03 Sierra, ‘20 Silverado, ‘18 ZL1-1LE, ‘19 CTS). The Camaro and CTS built where my Grandpa spent 35 years of his life. Thanks for the memories, Chevrolet!

What a heartwarming commercial. I was able to follow in my dad's footsteps before he died. He was a police Sergeant in NY. One of his proudest moments in life was him handing me my certificate when I graduated from the Police Academy. I never fully realized the pride he felt until I handed my son (his grandson) his certificate at his graduation from the Police Academy. Although my son never met his Grandpa he knew he was there watcing over him. RIP pop, I miss you.

Wow! Great storytelling! This hits home for me as we buried my grandfather less than 2 weeks ago at 93 years young. He was a Marine who fought in Korea and came back home and became a woodworker and a plumber. He was my best bud, and we were alike in so many ways. Musicians, both creative, and I have started woodworking in the past several years. This reminded me of Poppop and I'm relationship growing up. He was a Chevy fan too! Thanks Chevy and thank you Fred Darling Scarborough "Poppop" for all the wonderful times and memories.

This hits hard. My grandpa Earl had an 84 c10 long bed in white. 5 years ago my Dad gave me that truck. It has never left our family. Grandpa Earl was my hero. I'm probably close to the same age as Grandpa was when he bought his truck new from the dealer. I've never stopped missing him. The connection that truck gives my Dad and I is hard to describe, this video does it better than words.

I was born in the sixties and some of my earliest memories were riding in my grandfather’s 57 Chevy 2dr, and helping him maintain it in his driveway. In 69 I sat on his lap, looking through a Chevelle brochure, unknowingly picking out the color of his next car, a brand new 69 Chevelle coupe. 10 years of helping him maintain that car, still looking showroom new, he handed the keys to me on my 17th birthday… my first car. My grandfather passed many years ago, along with many more Chevy’s in my life. I’m now in my 60’s, a 71 C10, 06 GTO and an 02 Corvette in my garages… about the same age now as when I lost Grandpa… not sure who I will be handing my keys off too. Thank You Chevrolet for a lifetime of memories… Heartbeat of America indeed.

Probably one of the most relatable long commercials for most of us raised in rural America, been around these old c10's and the GMT400 trucks all our lives. My great Grandfather had 3 of them on the farm over the years, my dad had 2 and a Tahoe. These old trucks bring people closer and nostalgia they didn't think a regular old truck would do back then. I don't think there were many driveways that didn't have one back then, too bad the new ones don't hold up as well anymore.
