My narcissistic Father, committed suicide at age 61. It so unfortunate how this illness consumes such a person. Some Narcissists live long, contrary case, my fathers mental battles became to much to bare. As the abuse stopped after his passing, but he left our family with the suicide trauma. 5 years passed, healing from the trauma was slow but we are experiencing joy in our life again.

My narcisstic mother died recently at 97...she couldnt stand any of her grandchildren until about a year before she died..then she said they were wonderful as she was frightened of being alone. Her only son refused to see her in the last 15 years of her life because of the way she behaved, and she bullied my dear father especially in his last ten years. She died alone in hosital after 3 weeks in isolation because of covid complications. I even came home from overseas 3 or 4 times a year to cook, clean and care for her for 4 or 5 years and also got food delivered to her when she was no longer mobile. None of my other siblings living in the same country as her wanted to help. She was frightened of dying and her determination for control kept her alive a long time. I think it was karma she died in hospital alone

The demonic narcissist who thought he had power and control over me ironically wound up realizing that God through me had power and control over him. Much like in the movie The Wizard of Oz at the end. The look of sheer horror, terror, and especially fear etched in that guy's face when he realized he had been found out and abandoned I shall never forget.

My dad the narc killed my mom. Yes he did. It took me 54 years to find out about narcissism, My greyrocking brother still visits him every Friday afternoon for about one hour. No more, no less. Is he an enabler, is he a flying monkey or has he become a narcissist too?, A whole family fucked up. I went no contact and left them all. My dad must be around 88 years old now. I wish him to live for many many years to come. He is lonely, greedy, hateful, bitter. Let the devil grow old. I don't mind anymore. I went no contact many years ago. I live a happy life now. Finally. Let this devil grow old indeed and let him suffer. He won but he has nothing but himself, stolen money, a lot of hate and envy and lonelyness. No one cares for him, nobody visits him, nobody loves him.

Danish, what about the victims of Narcissistic abuse being so lonely? I'm not the perpetrator but I'm pretty much alone and abandoned by everyone I once knew. Yes I'm living but the life I have is isolated. Most of the people I ever knew were Narcissists or had other mental and emotional problems and had to be cut off, or they cut me off. The way you described the punishment for a Narcissist sounded a lot like my life. So the Narcissist and the victims suffer in the same manner, how is that fair? Their wrong deeds come to haunt them, yes I get that but what about me who always tried to be a good person? With or without Narcissists in my life I'm so unhappy and downright lonely. On top of this I feel drained of energy, so I'm quite run down. And, I'm still not free of all of them completely. So far I've been suffering nearly 67 years.

Come on warrior, don't compare yourself with those psychoes. We survivors are isolated, very true but our own company is sweett and kind, free from toxic people, still cleaning our lives from evil beings that will never disapear. Some times it's hard to live alone but way far better than with narcoes on our backs. Living alone is a true blessing once you find yourself again. A slow process for sure but with a happy ending, you'll see.

I too, am alone. I had to purge my life of people who I thought loved me. When I set boundaries, each one exploded in anger in an attempt to get me back in line. Other than a friend who lives out of town, I have no one. It doesn't seem fair but I do not want to risk getting involved with more rage filled people. Their narc rage is too much. I paint, exercise daily, am learning a new language, and follow a few YT channels for entertainment. I cannot recognize narcissism fast enough to be able to get out of a friendship early. So I do not try. I feel your pain.

The purpose of them is for us to know the only one we can rely on which is God, and by knowing that is happiness already. Once you can realize that you even appreciate narcs mission of losing their lives to save our with God. You also learn how to forgive. If weren’t their hate to us we wouldn’t know the true love in God. Once a narc told me: “becareful because hate and love walks together” this makes total sense to me now. It is a process to get to this point. I hope you can find yourself with God so you don’t lose the opportunity for the eternal salvation.

Definitely learning how to be strong, I want to be a more reliable person, but the level that you need to go up to is the type of person that can carry the weight and responsibility of the two of you in the relationship. In towards the end of the narcissist's life they do absolutely nothing except sabotaging things, destroying things or sometype of complicated plan that results in complete failure.

I have been through the same but mother finally died recently at 97. I was the only one caring for her until about a year before she died when one sibling smelt the money and began sucking up to her and then got control of her estate. The stress mother caused me contributed to my breast cancer about 5 years ago then just when I was starting to learn to deal with her without getting so upset my sister took over mothers estate by promising her she wouldnt be alone etc...the back stabbing behaviours from my sibling around this time caused terrible stress again and I then got lung cancer metastised from my breast. I was given 6 to 12 months to live just over a year ago and that was enough for me to stop letting myself be treated like a doormat again. I got a lawyer. I attended mothers funeral but didnt speak at it and have gone no contact with my backstabbing sister since then. She seems increasingly like my now deceased mum

I am a victim of many Narcissists from birth until now, at nearly 67, and when Danish described the aging Narcissist, it sounded a lot like me, and how I currently live. I get it that it's their punishment, but why am I also isolated and lonely etc.... I'm still dealing with some of them now. My new and better life with good people has, thus far, been elusive. I've been a decent person all my life. If they deserve a terrible life as they grow older, I get it. But what I don't get is why my life is the way it currently is, so lonely and isolated. I'm the victim and not the perpetrator.

@@stellap7624 Because you're trying to forgive. Its not your role to do so. A lot of religions are out there to gaslight you into shame. Forgiving is a form of judgement. Look up what the gnostics have to tell about the role of the devil. I have become a dark empath due to my CPTSD and it doesn't hurt me to admit I'd rather be the devil than a narcissist - they're to be destroyed and not excused. They don't need to hear my words in order to be capable of destruction, you do, as its the best form of defense against evil that resides in them.

But I would still try, and give everything to save that soul. The cruelty, coldness, callousness, and pure evil, that I have both witnessed, and been subjected to, stil wins, if I give up on that person. Maybe that one final act of kindness could offer some redemption, and they see that the light doesn't go out without a fight. Too right that they have a lot of work to do, but to be be totally given up on is a place that noone should inhabit. Shine bright. Much love. XXX

Interesting comment. I think we all try to love so hard hoping that they will see and maybe even feel that love. I think it is just one way love. Somehow, we have to refill our own love needs.

In honesty you seem like you have looked at people your whole life and taken their personality into yourself. What does one call you?

God doesn't take revenge. Revenge is an act of the Devil.

Evil people live longer because God said He is "longsuffering toward us not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." (2 Peter 3:9), meaning, God suffers through our sins and is patient waiting for you to change. Evil people are given time to change, but not forever, so if they end up in hell for eternity, they have no excuse because God gave them MANY CHANCES and a long time to repent of their ways.
