Amazing video. Makes you think about how much is being lost with dependence on technology. I think it is incalculably valuable to hold on to knowledge like this as insurance in case our incredibly complex technological infrastructure ever collapses.

I have had much trouble finding someone in my area to properly sharpen and set my saw. I cut pulpwood years ago and have always loved woods work. I would like to get the saw up to speed as I feel it wood be a very good full body workout cutting firewood etc. Great video.

danfabisac, take my advice and find your local boxing gym and start conditionning your body for boxing, including bag work you will find it provides all the right exercises to your body and without costing to the lives of trees that can be the age of your parents or grand parents.

@@reckmanD believe it or not, but once you are on a regular boxing fitness training (you don't have to spar if that's what's stopping you) then your blood circulation will be so good at any time of the day that your tolerance for cold weather will go 10 degrees lower in comfort. I spend a whole winter without turning on heating when in years i didn't train i would be constantly heating.

I've always wondered, when is it appropriate to use an axe vs a saw in felling (and bucking)?
@adamtarbaux77696 жыл бұрын
It's up to the lumberjack felling the tree that's how but the saw can be faster.

The saw and axe go hand in hand. a axe is easier to transport but a saw saves more wood.
