I've developed a divergence trade on a higher timeframe using a different indicator then the stochastic with changed settings on the ES and now I know exactly how much drawdown I can expect and roughly how many points it will go. These trades are a beautiful thing and I love divergences!
@robmccance7 ай бұрын
Besides the divergences, I'm wondering if this is basically just using the D plot of the stoc to basically be moving averages across 4 different TFs? Besides the divergences, I see a lot of trades waiting for the slope of all four to be agreeing with each other. This would be roughly equivalent to monitoring 4 timeframes and waiting for all 4 TF MAs to have the same slope. (up or down)

Thank you for sharing. The trade locations you describe are the same locations that I have learned to exploit, although I've never seen anyone before be able to pick out those prime locations with any type of indicator. Bravo. Very nice. I couldn't folow the stochastics discussion because it sounds like mandarin chinese to me... but the locations are what I have learned to target on the map (the chart) by watching the bid/asks and executions in/around those locations. Trapped shorts (or longs) often stand out like a sore-thumb at those locations and then you can read the aggressive commercial traders taking advantage of the speculative environment. The reason why those location work so well is "A Trapped Buyer becomes a Distressed Seller" (and vice versa)... that is who we target.. distressed sellers or buyers. Nice job-- I enjoyed watching.

I exclusively use RSI and 12 years of research says that divergence is best read as a sign of a trend and less effective as a reversal trade, although it will work occasionally to fade the market if u scalp quick. It’s best to find a trend and identify a proper pull back (oversold condition in an uptrend, and I don’t mean a 30 reading, I mean oversold in a proper context, which means oversold in relationship to what price level…and an overbought condition in a downtrend). Then, identify either the lowest mathematical risk entry in terms of a trend validity test (zone) or wait for the trend continuation signal and then enter. I would tell u more, but I enjoy maintaining my edge in the markets.
