I stayed in the Quebec City region last November and loved to explore neighbouring charlevoix! Imo it’s so underrated. I only did one little hike but definitely want to return to do grands jardins and hautes gorges. Tadoussac also looks amazing!

It really is spectacular! If you're looking for incredible hiking in Quebec it's hard to beat! Gaspesie is also a great option. Make sure to subscribe, I have a follow up video coming soon where I kayaked with Whales in Tadoussac!

Grands Jardins is great, I'd also recommend heading over to the nearby ZEC de la Martre in the same trip.

@@kirbyy84 yeah Grands jardins is part of the zec de la marte-im aware that there are other trails as well

@@theroadnottakentravel Grand-Jardins is Sepaq and de la Marte is ZEC so there is a seperate access fee, but well worth it imo.

Did it yesterday !! was not easy, some many rocks but the view at the top was well worth it, the descent was treacherous..

Nice! Thank you for sharing! Do you have to bring bear sprays In Quebec while hiking?
@majestic-skies
@majestic-skies 2 жыл бұрын
My pleasure! Its not required but I always carry bear spray with me when Im in the backcountry. The one time out of 1000 when you do run into a bear youll be glad you have it just in case. Black bears aren't nearly as territorial as Grizzlies thankfully but you just never know.

do you recommend this hike with a toddler on back?

Unless you're insanely fit, it's unlikely that you will hike such a high distance and vertical drop with such a weight on your back...

If you're fit you'd be fine. Just leave early and bring plenty of drinking water. I did this hike in 2020 and it was brilliant. Don't worry about the exposure on the summit. It's not that bad at all. Unless you court danger you won't find it. The trail at the summit is easy and clearly marked. If you go. Enjoy!

It’s in now way as dangerous as you claim it to be lol even the trail isn’t very steep, stop dramatizing for clout

Thanks for watching! I didnt said it was the most dangerous in the world, just the scariest in QC. There is one section where you do have to walk 1-2 feet from the cliff edge though. Have you done the hike before? =)

@@majestic-skies Yes i did this hike before, I've started it at 0300 am to catch sunrise. It's more like 1-2 meters from the edge though 😉

@@majestic-skies There are definitively far "scarier" hikes in other parts of Québec. Just in Lanaudière I know a few trails that are way steeper than the Acropole des Draveurs or some where you have to scramble to the top. While going up is easy, it's always the way down that is a bit more risky
