I’ll never forget my first view of hereditary. I was living in a house with pretty high vaulted ceilings at the time. Needless to say the climax scarred me and my friend for weeks.

Couldn't agree more with Hereditary being #1, my Father and I both love Horror movies and I took him to see it for Father's day back when this was in theaters. We left absolutely shaken. Over a week later we talked about the movie together and come to find out it was haunting both of our thoughts every day since viewing it.

Maybe the scariest I've ever seen. It's not the jump scares that spook me the most, it's the uneasiness after the film. I felt very much the same way as you and your father.

"It Follows" GREAT film. The demure lead actress had a lot to do with that , in my opinion. Loved it.

It's a very different sort of horror. People usually tend to feel that's it's either terrifying or not so much like yourself. Totally fair opinion to have. Thanks for watching the vid :)

Not necessarily my FAVORITES, but the Scariest Movies I've seen as an Adult are: 1. Hereditary 2. The Grudge (2004) 3. The Ring (2002) Two Movies that gave me ANXIETY are: 1. mother! (2017) - The Kitchen Scene 2. War of the Worlds (2005) - The scene when the Tripod comes out of the ground (probably because of me being so close to the Trade Center on 9-11) And the Exorcist was the SCARIEST Movie I had seen as a kid Thanks for the Video 😀

I fell asleep twice while watching it. I had no emotional attachment to the people at all. I knew I was watching a movie, the whole time. I try to watch every movie i see twice. They seem to be better the second time. But I don't think I can subject myself to "Hereditary" again.

I made the mistake of watching 'Sinister' just a couple weeks before we moved. Needless to say every little creak and sigh of our new house during the night had me totally on edge. Horror movies don't scare me too easily (I'm not great with gore, but I wouldn't say it "scares" me), but 'Sinister' totally managed to get under my skin, right from that eerily silent and disturbing af 8mm opening shot up to the shocking reveal at the end. It's definitely one of my favorite horror films, though one I'm not in a hurry to rewatch alone anytime soon.

Oh no! 😅 Yeah Sinister gets to me. The horror films with gore, I actually don't mind too much, but it's the psychological horror films that get me. Ethan Hawke's performance in the movie definitely adds to the scare factor. The surprise twist is wild too! Only seen this one twice ever and it will probably stay that way for quite a while.

Hereditary fcked me up. As a grown man I didn't feel right couple weeks. One day I woke up because of that clicking sound. I think ithis sound was part of my dream but in a moment I was scared like never before. This film can really mess with your head)

enjoyed the vid but I'll disagree with your thoughts on "It Follows". that movie stuck with me for a bit. We can eat healthy, run five miles a day, take the best medicines, or sleep with everyone. But death still follows. The atmosphere and anachronisms just ad to the unknown and the fear that follows it. See what I did there...

I hated "It Follows" to me it was an over hyped snooze fest. Hereditary was a great movie but, again, people over hyped it so much that it was underwhelming in the scare department for me.

I definitely didn't hate It Follows, but I agree it was overhyped. To an extent Hereditary was overhyped a bit. I saw it when it premiered with no knowledge about it and I was still really impressed.
