I was a kid back in the late 60's early 70's and we lived in a haunted house. My mother told me that one time she actually bumped into a tall dark figure wearing a hat. We lived in a basement apartment that was not at all the best apartment around, but it's all we could afford. She was walking down the long hallway and suddenly stopped to turn around and walk back to the kitchen. As soon as she turned around she literally bumped into it. She looked up and saw a completely black figure, no facial features, but it was wearing a hat. It had substance to it she felt it. It moved to the side and disappeared. Back then, no one heard about shadow people or the hat man. Over the years, her story never changed.

I believe you 100%,my 5 sisters & I were kids in the 2000s-2007ish & we lived in a haunted house as well!!! The stuff we experienced was crazy & could be a movie & we all also experienced paralyze sleep & we saw the hat man!!! I’m dead serious! Til this day we still talk about & it traumatized us :(

My daughter used to see shadow people in the apartment we lived in. She was happy that I believed her when she told me about it. My grandparents who passed away also showed up to me in the apartment. They and a friend of mine who recently passed away showed up at the end of my bed.

When my first daughter was a newborn she woke for a feed in the early hours, and I saw a shadow man beside my bed, and I was unable to move,I felt as if I was being held down! I struggled to get up and picked my baby up I was really shook up by it it had never happened before and has never happened again. I can still see the shape of it 40 years later.

When I was about 15 weeks into my pregnancy with my second daughter, I was laying in bed one night preparing to fall asleep. as I was laying there with my eyes closed I suddenly had a sense of something else in the room with us. I opened my eyes and standing across the room was the clear solid black silhouette of a tall figure wearing a wide brimmed hat and long a long trench coat. I momentarily froze up in terror and blinked hard but when I opened my eyes it was still standing there. It felt ominous but at the same time I had a sense that it couldn't physically "attack me" like some other force prohibited it. I came to and started trying to shake my fiance (now husband) awake but he seemed to be unusually hard to wake at which point I panicked and proceeded to climb my wauly over him away from the figure and up against the wall. by then I was cursing and telling my my man to wake the fuck up because there is someone in our room but by the time he had come to, the figure had vanished. Two years later his niece was living in the same (family owned) studio cabin and we got to talking one-day about paranormal entities and she proceeded to tell me about having an identical encounter with the same entity that we both dubbed the Hat Man. I had never even heard of a hat man prior to the incident and I have never seen it again. we lived in the studio cabin for two years following the incident and no other paranormal activity occurred during that time.

I see shadow people too... but never in my bedroom luckily. The moments i see them, is just during the day. I was afraid one time, because my sons music toy began to play after it walked by.... but the other times, nothing more happend than only passing by quick... and i feel just calm. The most i read about those shadow people and the "hat man" ( wich ive also seen 2 times ) is of people who see them like you describe. When their in bed...... i hope that will never happen to me, because i bet thats really scary!! 😮

We used to trespass on the grounds and building at Waverly Hills. We would sit on the roof and listen. That was just as creepy as being in the building itself. Countless unexplainable things go on all around there. I only went down the tunnel once and couldn't bring myself to do it again! Definitely a haunted hot spot. You can sometimes smell bread in the kitchen too.

You're lucky to have lived close enough to be able to go there and hang out. I actually have this place on my "bucket list" of places to visit before I get too old to travel. I hear they have tours now. Maybe next summer I'll visit Waverly Hills.

@@tonyf.8858 It is definitely something that you should see. It's an absolutely beautiful structure too. The new owners have tours and overnight stays too. It was rumored to become a bed and breakfast, but I highly doubt that happens. It's dangerous in many parts because of the decay. I recommend that you visit Louisville when something else cool is going on in town. There's actually lots of old and haunted Victorian houses in Old Louisville by Churchill Downs. Have fun and I guarantee you'll get spooked!

I’ve always been the biggest skeptic when it came to ghosts and spirits. However, during the mid 90’s I had my first experience that I still to this day am able to explain. During that time we had moved into a house in Bangkok, Thailand. Within the first few nights while helping my cousins study for their exams, we all saw a full body apparition at the same time. A woman standing in the corner of the room faceless features just standing there. The 5 of us ran down the stairs and out of the house. That very night as me and my dad stayed up watching the World Cup series, we kept hearing banging like someone was running and jumping upstairs in my cousin’s rooms. My dad commented about my cousins not asleep since they have exams in the morning. As he finished his sentence, my mother sprang up and “Honey, the kids are all sleeping here!” Since we saw figure earlier all my cousins ended up piling in my parents room. Confused and worried my mom, dad, and I went upstairs to see. Needless to say we were armed to the teeth because we really thought it may be a burglar. We stood in front of the door of the room quietly listening and the sounds were as loud and clear as it can be, and then my dad quickly turned the knob and flung the door open with his gun pointed in. As if everything was switched off instantly and there was nothing but silence…We spent the next few days in denial and tried to explain it away until 3 days after the incident…. 3 days after the incident, my entire family was gathered in the dining room eating dinner and having a good time. As I was about to spoon some soup from the bowl, the bowl moved away. At first I said it’s the soup bowl that probably slid cuz the bottom was wet. But as I reached further to get some soup, the bowl moved again this time in a different direction. The table that was full out chatter from 3 adults and 5 kids suddenly is now dead silent. I remembered I chuckled nervously at first but then the bowl slid across the table again this time in a zig zag motion spilling out the soup everywhere before suddenly lifting right off the table and slammed itself into the stove top about 5 feet away from the end of the table. As it slammed our kitchen cabinet swung open and all the plates stored inside came shooting out. My parents told use to get out of the house and wait outside as my parents packed and we left that house never to return again. As amazing and unbelievable, my story sounds but I can honestly say it is the one and only time I and my family have experienced anything like it. Up until this day 20 some years later, we all still talk about what happened to each other. Well, that’s my family’s supernatural encounter story just wanted to share it to you guys :)

I only experienced once ar night. Me and my colleague were walking outside at 3.30 in the morning(we are security guards) . We suddenly saw a black shadow moving behind a pile of soil. We went there quickly but nothing was there. I found out that night that one of the buildings we usually close at night has corpses used for studying . That explains a lot

So when I was about 17 years old, I called myself writing a friend of mines that passed away a year earlier a letter, I heard it helps u cope so I gave it a shot. I remember crying and my tears hitting the paper and me asking him to send me a sign that he was okay, I was in a locked room in an all girls school, It was pretty late in the day and over night staff were already arriving. Long story short. I got two very very loud bangs on my window… (sounded like a huge rock). I’m about 5/6 stories up and the only thing below my window was the courtyard which nobody would be allowed to use at that time of night. Even had they been allowed nobody knew I was in my room writing and crying and praying that my friend wherever they may be was okay. I panicked and rang my bell to get out of the room … they gave me a sip of water and locked me back inside. I’ve had a lot of creepy stuff happen but this is one of the most frighting things I’ve ever experienced.

When my son was 6, we were camping and he said he was glad to get away from the girl in his room. I didn't want to be alarmed but I was. He said sometimes she laughs and sometimes she cries but he never saw her. Our Pastor gave us some prays to say. I have had a number of sightings at my house of a black streak. It dropped down in front of me twice. Once I saw a face in my periphery and while at first I thought I saw anger in its countenance, I realised after a second it was despondence. And then I was filled with pity out of nowhere and so decided to pray for it. I asked for help to help it go to the Light where it would be at peace and reminded it that it was loved beyond measure. After a moment of praying I felt the air change, like it was lighter and the heavy energy was gone. Then I cried like you do when you’re grateful. But it didn’t feel like my gratitude, so I thought maybe it was thanking me for my help. I haven’t seen the black shape since I prayed for the face.

I thought the same thing. But when I was about to have a baby, I got a video camera and started using it for practice. Trying it in different light conditions. I wanted to document my baby's first year and needed to learn how to use it before she was born. I started just filming me and my husband doing mundane things, laundry on a Saturday, making a sandwich at 3 am, etc. I never caught anything paranormal, but after I'd done that, I figured, I can't really judge anyone who happened to record themselves just going about their day. They must've had some reason/explanation.

The first video in this one, that poor man seems to always have shadows and goings on in his home, especially in the basement. As soon as I saw the basement with the workout gear, I immediately recognized it from other videos from Slapped Ham and others where the guy had experienced shadows and poltergeist activity. There is definitely something up with that one. The hat man behind the three women, that photograph was very unnerving... If I saw that, I don't know if I'd ever be the same... Whether seeing it straight forward or it appearing on a picture I took. Definitely a great video...

Your videos are amazing. When I was in 4th grade we lived in house that was a house for miners but then got converted to a restaurant and a home of ill repute before it became a residence. We had experience with ghostly miners walking in and out our closet, we have seen ghosts of people walking around our house. The weirdest experience we had was when we had friend over. We just went to bed my parents told my sister and I we could wait to dishes till our friend went home the next day. Just before we went to sleep we noticed the smell of steak. We didn't have steak that night. My sister went down stairs to the kitchen and seen the kitchen clean. We left it a mess. When got up the next day the kitchen was exactly how we left it

It's so strange how shadow men have been seen by so many people and have almost identical descriptions. The main one of course is the hat man... I mans silhouette with an old fedora who stands in doorways or at the end of the bed, just watching, while the sleeper remains frozen in place. In one of my older videos (my first Urban Legends from the United States Video) I actually covered these shadow men in California called The Dark Watchers... they would stand at the top of the Santa Lucia range and watch hikers as they go by. I also saw a normal shadow person when I was a child (well before ghost vids were even a thing) but I don't talk about that one. So twice in my 41 years Ive seen them. Something is there.

Me and my bestfriend who heartbreakingly passed away this year were standing accross the road from my place chatting when he said who is in your bedroom, i said nobody its locked and i looked up and there was a shadow figure at the window it started swaying from side to side waving one arm and then another figure drifted passed behind the waving one and went straigt into the wall behind the bed. Thats just one of many experiences i had. It goes wherever i go.

In "Shadow Person Creeping in the Darkness" did anyone else notice a pair of glowing eyes in the room behind where the shadow moves past. They seem to be obscured as the shadow passes, and, they appear to blink. The separation between the 'eyes' is too wide to be a cat, or one of his dogs.

I thought it blinked too. But I realized it was the shadow moving past that blocked out the "eyes" for a split second and just made it look like it blinked. That doesnt mean they arent eyes though, cause they sure do look like it. But also, did you see the shadow at the bottom of the bookshelf on the right. I'm not sure if the guy had cast the shadow from around the corner where he went, or if it was a paranormal shadow poking out and then moving back out of sight.

The shadow on the wall as the man walks by with camera is real. If you look closely the figure is camouflaged and blends with the wall. You can see a white dot on his shoe and a glove or something. Then as he drops his camouflage he goes dark. I can clearly see a figure standing there. Thanks for sharing. Look closely peeps. Keep an open mind 😊

Knowing what I do after 45+ years of studying these types of phenomenon, I can honestly say that at LEAST 80% or more of these videos are faked/hoaxed. The kitchen entity pic at Thanksgiving though is VERY impressive and quite genuine. However, the man in India crossing the RR tracks with his child is just his own form being duplicated as it steps down from from the tracks. Watching it several times will easily show this. Most of the rest of it is just TOO embarrassingly badly done for mere words.
