Excellent rendition of Leo Kottke's original work!! Many other renditions fail in various ways and are not as good as the original. Good job!!

Hi Josh, I discovered your channel a couple months ago by accident when I was trying to learn some guitar songs. Seeing your content for the first time, I was struck by how Involved with each song you are. It's clear that you truly love what you're doing, and I'm not sure that's completely true for all performers. I'm an aspiring sax performer so it's nice to see content that's outstanding and yet still relate-able. Very motivating. Thank you! P.S. I can't wait to hear more from The Other Favorites

Triplets on a 12 string over 180 bpm is impressive , masterful even . Sliding chords on a 12 string is painful with health calloused over fingers but Josh's black finger nail from when he cut it a few weeks ago shows determination that goes beyond talent and being gifted .

Love it Josh. Used to listen to Leo (among others) back in his day. Great job, bro! My highest compliment for your choices of technical playing in your covers and originals. I love the fact that you can actually play and sing at the same time through the difficult syncopation of the songs. You are on course to be a 21st Century icon. You inspire and I'm sharing your videos with all my picking pals. They're blown away.

Love the beginning. A tribute to recording and playing an instrument. We curse like we had tics, get frustrated & angry, do the same thing over and over again like mad men, tune the strings constantly, and most of the time it all probably sounds like garbage, but at the end of the day a lotus grows in the mud. Great work as always, Josh!

I'm glad to hear you're getting close to the sound you want to achieve! That's what drives us as musicians I think, hearing something and thinking "I want to make those sounds!" Sadly, at the rate I'm going (too much time listening to great musicians, and not enough time practicing my craft) I will probably never be able to make my instruments sound way I want to.

Those triplets are indeed tough. Josh seems to use -- or prefers -- a rasguendo approach on parts of those sections, which also sounds great. A wonderful interpretation of a Kottke classic!

That's me at 0:08 trying to play this.haha This dude can literally play anything masterfully. I just saw Tommy Emmanuel live in Greenville, TN several weeks ago and Josh is at that level IMHO. That's saying A LOT, considering that Chet Atkins personally bestowed the CGP honor on Tommy. I'm serious. Tommy Emmanuel, Doyle Dykes, Joe Robinson, these dudes have nothing on this guy. I believe that he is more versatile than those guys. Just my opinion. Keep it up the hard work, brother and everybody will know your name. Good stuff!
