I am surprised you didn't bring up the idea of dairy outside of cow milk. Cheese is much more concentrated in compounds which have some evidence of negative human effects. Also surprised you didn't bring up the idea of drinking cow milk for strong bones, which was recently busted with a Harvard research study when it was reported that the countries with the highest milk intake have the highest incidence of hip fractures in old age. This is even found that the more milk you drink as a youth, the higher or no difference in the occurrence of hip fracture in old age. www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/20949604 www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/24247817 Further you failed to mention that one of the acne promoters within dairy is thought to be the raising of IGF-1 serum levels in dairy eaters/milk drinkers. www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/15692464 www.jaad.org/article/S0190-9622(04)02500-9/fulltext And lastly you mentioned the uncertainty with prostate cancer but failed to mention that same uncertainty exists with female breast cancer. Bovine Leukemia Virus www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/26332838 Let us not forget the saturated fat that comes from dairy. Why live with uncertainty when you can just stop drinking cow milk and eating cow cheese?

This guy is full of crap. He doesn't know the truth behind milk. Milk is actually a slow poison and causes a lot of allergies. And causes many diseases and illnesses along the line like osteoporosis and diabetes. 1/4 European cannot have babies because of the milk diet. It prevents you from eating nuts which are highly nutritious fats. Milk is species specific. Human babies are suppose to drink human milk until they are ween and that is it. After that it is best to eat plant based diet for best health. Many are lactose intolerance for a reason. Because your body stop producing the enzyme lactase to break down the glucose or galactose within milk after you are ween. European still produce this enzyme lactase because they force their body to consume milk as a regular diet. Animal milk is only good for survival if you have nothing left to eat is all. Also your body can only absorb 20% of the calcium from milk and it is also bad for your bones and leads to bone illnesses along the line. Watch Walter Veith 304 for this truth.

@InfiniteBeingX

@@craigmcneil3987 Human milk is high in fats for a reason. As the brain is made of mostly fats, so the human milk's high in fats is design towards brain development. If you want the brain development of an animal, continue to drink animal milk. It goes back to follow the money. Cow's milk is a multibillion dollar industry. Free cash for them to make you buy the milk besides its meats. They are not going to let the milk go to waste, so they force this diet on you. Further along the line, your body's cells will have to mutate to adapt to your diet leading to many diseases and illnesses. Then more money for them to get you on pharmaceutical drugs. Which is another slow poison. As pharmacy means, the one who deals in poison. The industry is design to keep you sick so they can make money off you. They own and control the news and advertisement. So they can do things such as these. Those who are heavily mind programed by the system will deny this truth. As denial is a hindrance to advance further into your spirituality. Many people think they know all, so they put a brick on their mind, which is closing off their mind to not allow further information to enter their mind. Therefore they are stuck in their own illusion and cannot advance any further. Always think like a baby. Knowledge is infinite. There's always something new to learn and reason with yourself whether it is true or false. There are the 6 perfection to improve oneself. And perfection of wisdom is 1 of that. So you can discern what is true or false.

My opinion on milk whether it’s good for bodybuilding or not ? kzbin.info/www/bejne/q4TWfGeum7qYqbc People with lactose intolerance are unable to fully digest the sugar (lactose) in milk. As a result, they have diarrhea, gas and bloating after eating or drinking dairy products. The condition, which is also called lactose malabsorption, is usually harmless, but its symptoms can be uncomfortable. A deficiency of lactase - an enzyme produced in your small intestine - is usually responsible for lactose intolerance. Many people have low levels of lactase but are able to digest milk products without problems. If you're actually lactose intolerant, though, your lactase deficiency leads to symptoms after you eat dairy foods.

That is because too much milk inhibited the Iron from the stomach and you need to balance iron and milk in your diet, I stooped milk for 4 years and i got acne because my iron were too high and also that is bad for your health since contribute to cancer, is not milk or is not iron, is a balance between these too, combined with vitamin A and D.

@@christophersonawane I did a week ago and my iron levels were higher than normal (1st i was vegan for 2 years) after 3rd year i was feeling stiff and joint pain all my body and acne for one year(4th year) and no reason, I realised I had 4 years without milk (0 milk for real), and just started drinking 0% milk from jersey cows and lactose free(my acne is healing because the amino-acid proline that the cow has 10% and glutamine, also my joints and muscle are no longer stiff). Human breast milk produce A2 protein similar to jersey cows and we can assimilated better, also goats has predominantly A2 protein in their milk. Do not select A1 protein casein milk. My point is maybe milk is not for you but that is a reason and a lot of people do not know why. A1 protein is not a protein that our body or DNA knows, because is for animals, but other mammals have similar as humans. I think maybe you was drinking milk as a normal person, and your iron were too low, your iron need to be in point in conjunction with vitamin A, Vitamin D, potassium and calcium. I am lowering my Iron by drinking milk not much but enough to keep the balance in my body. Milk inhibit iron, maybe your iron were too low and cause you acne as viceversa.

Yay finally! My childhood was from a 3rd world country where cow’s milk was expensive and less fortunate people drank rice milk and coconut milk. I definitely see a big difference in bone density of people who had more access to cow’s milk than people who did not. When I see super markets selling rice milk at such a high price tag, I laugh and shake my head. There is not much nutrition from rice milk compared to cow’s milk. For some reason, healthy foods that have made people in the US so much physically stronger and live longer have been vilified, so thank you for debunking the hate hype on milk.

Left veganism but still didn't go back to milk and the majority of acne/dermatitis and redness went away but remained hormonal once a month. Then I cut out processed food and sugar, added back dairy and all acne and other skin issues disappeared. Definitely not a dairy problem in my particular case. My descent is Northen European though and I'm sure my ancestors were used to drinking it.

So what's better healthier organic grass fed raw milk or plant milks? Like soy. I drink almond milk but honestly still lack the energy now and motivation to even lift weights compared to the days when I drank milk.. I eat meat, vegetables and fruits, and grains and still nothing. I think maybe soy milk will make up for it? But I've also heard soy milk is bad. And no I'm not sick or anything. I think whole milk was just what I needed cause it has like 8g of fat and like 10g of protein and soy isn't really that much off it's at 4.5g of fat and 8g of protein which isn't bad but idk I just hear stories about people going thru surgery because of it or something else. I think I might try soy milk as a last resort before even attempting to go back to cow milk. And if it doesn't work then that's fine. Cow milk it is. Honestly though I just think there's something about cow milk that motivates you compared to like almond milk or plant milks in general.

Because of all the hormones in dairy,it opens the flood gates for weight gain..Its a pretty simple process..Elevated female hormones come hand in hand with pregnancy..So,with that in mind ,people who consume dairy regularly,are pregnant, except their not pregnant,just the retaining weight part.And with all that hormone continuously being ingested, there is zero hope for that person to EVER loose weight while they still consume dairy. All you people out there who say they cant loose weight....STOP EATING DAIRY FOREVER and try loosing weight again. I'd bet it works well and never returns to how it was pre dairy If dairy was full of male hormone we would all be ripped like a gorilla..Well if your dumb enough to eat it.

@@shamadana1 The amount of hormones in milk is tiny compared to what’s already in your body. Guys, your bodies produce about 6,000 times as much estrogen every day as you’d get in a glass of whole milk. Ladies, your bodies are producing 28,000 times that much. Compared to what your own body pumps out, the amount of estrogen you’re exposed to from dairy products is far too little to have any physiological effect. If drinking milk could raise your estrogen levels, we could expect it to be useful in treating symptoms of menopause. Ironically, soymilk may be more effective than cow’s milk in beating hot flashes. There’s no clear link between intake of dairy products and early puberty

The prevailing American diet is terrible. Eating yogurt is apt to displace potato chips; cheese might substitute for cheese doodles; milk may be an alternative to Coca Cola. Is milk good or bad for bodybuilding? And why ? kzbin.info/www/bejne/q4TWfGeum7qYqbc People with lactose intolerance are unable to fully digest the sugar (lactose) in milk.

Two reasons why I quit milk was 1. I had terrible breakouts on my skin, 2. Anti-milk movements claims (e.g. mucus-producing, acid-forming, cancer promoting). I have been doing well without it for years. However, I decided to re-visit the topic of milk/raw milk & gut health and started to realise that milk exerts a lot of anti-inflammatory properties, and has been shown to keep the tight junctions in the gut together (+ beneficial effects on gut microbiome). My skin is doing fine, no breakouts yet but monitoring closely. The ONLY concern of mine is IGF-1 which can possibly stimulate the cell growth and exacerbate acne. Raw milk has been shown to contain similar amounts of IGF-1 to pasteurised milk. Any thoughts on that?

I have "lactose intolerance", but I drink a gallon raw milk daily and my skin is flawless, no lactose pain whatsoever, I feel strong and my gut is calm. We have lied to terribly. Humans are not supposed to be lactose intolerant. When they pasteurize the milk in the factory, the lactose enzymes get removed as well in the process, so thats why we cant break down the lactose. Natural, raw, untouched milk, is a superfood, its healthy and nobody is allergic to it. The vitamins and enzymes will give you good skin, more muscles, good health in general. What a stupid world we live in, smh....I had to learn it the hard way.

I seem to digest it so much better than the processed A1 type milk from the supermarket.. With regards to dangers of IGF-1 in any milk, I suppose the problem comes when you overconsume a product. Just like with saturated fats - I think they are amazing for the body (not prone to a quick oxidation, cells need them for the stability of the membranes, etc) but overconsumption may not be a good thing simply because we need a variety of fats in the diet. :)

Isn't anyone not going to talk about the elephant in the room? For a cow to produce milk, they have to be artificially inseminated or forcibly impregnated on what is commonly known as a rape rack. If the baby is a male, they take it away from it's mother, gets bolt gunned in the head, which puts it into shock, then knifed in the throat or they turn it into veil. If a female cow is born, it suffers the same fate as it's mom, forcibly impregnated every month to be exploited, and when they have no use for her, she gets turned into beef. As you can see, there are other benefits to not contributing to this, plus there's endless amounts of milk. Ex: Almond Milk, Soy Milk, Cashew Milk, Coconut Milk, Hemp Milk, etc. Why would anyone support this industry when there's so many alternatives? When you do deliberate actions that harm the well being of conscious creatures, it's indeed immoral. You shouldn't treat those beneath you in ways you wouldn't want to be treated if you were at someone's mercy.

@@InfiniteBeingX Type 2 diabetes is caused by the over consumption of fructose and other refined sugar (sucrose). Lactose does not convert into blood glucose quickly because it has a low glycemic index same with galactose which is broken down from lactose. Milk does not cause type 2 diabetes. Osteoporosis are generally found in women, it is the diminishing of low bone density therefore leading to fragility of bones. Milk would actually help with some calcium uptake and deposits in bones not the other way around. Malnutrition is the main cause of this, eating disorders are a contribution to this but there are various causes unrelated to diet such as medication corticosteroid (synthetic cortisol), certain types of cancer, etc. Milk also provides calcium that binds with fats through the digestive system. You sir are chatting shit, where is your evidence

@@muayboran6111 Watch Walter Veith 304 as stated already is the scientific proof. Milk is a food for baby and again species specific. After your baby stage is over. You are not suppose to drink milk anymore as nature intended. Eating or drinking a food over and over again which you are not suppose to will later in life when your body start to slow down will develop into diseases and illnesses. Same is true for cancer. Eating what you are not suppose to will cause your body have to mutate into cancerous cells in order to survive.

But Jeff, what about the hormones? What about inflammation markers? What about the fact that 82% of the protein in milk is casein, and we have a problem breaking it down - which is not a good thing? I think you barely scratched the surface here, and when it comes to nutrition I just think people should do some experimenting and get their genetics checked out. Too many conflicting studies. Personally I love milk, but need to avoid it. Used to pour that shit down my throat on a daily. My individual response is negative, and thats enough reason to why I rarely allow it in my diet anymore.

Penelope416 I’m from northern Scandinavia, and I tested negative for lactose intolerance, yet I definitely can’t tolerate dairy products. I am positive my consumption of dairy, refined sugar and lectins like gluten, fucked me up when I grew up, and I didn’t even know it. I think that is the reason why so many people start having problem in their twenties, just like me. Problem is, we started doing damage long before that. It wasn’t until I identified my triggers like dairy, avoided them - and started supplementing with L-Glutamine, D-Vitamin, fish oil, and even digestive enzymes for a while, before I started feeling the difference. However, identifying the triggers in itself is a process of noticing how you feel off them. While you may not be healthy, you should feel short term relief by avoiding them.

Highly anecdotal, but at the start of the pandemic my dairy consumption, in the form of milk or cream in my coffee every day, spiked. My adult acne, especially on my back, got really bad. I completely eliminated dairy from my diet for 3-4 weeks, and my acne went away. I wasn't able to find a lot of supporting evidence at the time, but I did a similar diet test with diary based protein powders and realized there appeared to be a correlation there as well. I'm just one guy, but diary elimination appears to have a positive impact on my skin health. I didn't make an effort to control my diet in any other way during that time, so it's become practice for me to use vegan milk alternatives and yogurts, and minimize cheese, butter, etc... consumption.

Thanks for considering researcher bias! It's so important! I wish I could drink milk, but I'm one of those lactose intolerant people. When it comes to acne, I've found that stress is the biggest factor for me, and if I have dairy whilst stressed, it exacerbates the problem. But if I'm not stressed, dairy doesn't cause acne, but just some tummy issues. Individually, considering the brain-stomach connection might help when it comes to acne, if you feel that you've done everything you can diet wise to get rid of your acne.

@@MomoSimone22 It is ironic, because he just showed the arguments aiganst milk he had an answer on if you didn't notice. He only looked at the "positive" effects, wich makes him pretty biased, wich makes it even funnier that he calls the health risks with milk himself, "busted". He just showed his opinion with some papers to seem more trustworthy, while not all of it is true. Sometime he even shot an owner, by saying that milk is good in terms of nutrients because it contains b12 or good proteins. B12 is only in milk, because the animals itself get it supplemented. So everyone has to supplement it, so why over the animal? Very common is also milk protein allergy, wich causes a list of serious problems. All of this, while milk is never essential to get the nutrients in that it provides, you can get everything through plants with no issues. He also said that milk does not cause acne wich is not true. And his argument that drinking an animals milk is "natural" is also something that has to be discussed further. It is very important to understand, that the dairy industry is getting less and less supporters. So the companys while pay studies. You have to be extremely careful with studies in this topic. It is just naive to believe that this is all just the truth about milk after watching this. The moral of the story: don't just believe one person that's clearly not unbiased, maybe even because it also shows your opinion. Do own research.

I have learned to do my own research/studies in reference to foods using myself. As for acne, I never had acne as a teenager, but I did get it as an adult only when I was pregnant. As for milk being a carcinogen for cancer, I do not believe that! My family and I have been drinking milk and eating dairy products all of our lives, and no one in my family has ever had cancer. Moreover, my elderly family members live past 100 years old. Apropos, in 2008, my doctor showed me an X-ray of my bones. He told me my bones were very strong and dense, and they look very white too as if they glowed. So, because I read that adults do not need milk and men and Black people don't get osteoporosis, I stopped drinking milk, and I stopped eating eggs too. I stopped eating eggs because I read they were high in cholesterol. Years later, in 2013, I had an accident that broke my hip and left me unable to walk. I had to have major surgery and an emergency blood transfusion. My surgeon showed me an X-ray of my bones in contrast to my bone X-ray in 2008. My bones were healthier than a 20-year-old in 2008 but five years later, in 2013, my bones were osteopenic. I always ate healthy, took multivitamins, and worked out. However, my bones were no longer (glowing) white; they looked grey. While I was recovering from surgery, in the hospital and at the rehabilitation center where I had to learn how to walk again, they gave me milk and meat with my meals. I also had not eaten meat in years either as well as desserts, ice-cream, and chocolate. I was critically anemic because I was deficient in most everything including my blood sugar as it was critically low as well. I immediately started drinking milk and eating eggs, chicken, lamb, turkey and of course, I never stopped eating fish and seafood. However, I will not eat steak, hamburgers, pork, deli meats, or hotdogs. Well, in 2018, I was no longer critically anemic and in 2021, I had a complete physical. My blood work with a bone density test came back "perfect", that was my doctor's word! My bones are stronger than ever! I reiterate that I now drink milk every day, sometimes twice a day, and I add it in my smoothies. I might not eat cheese and eggs every day, but I do eat them more than two days a week. Nevertheless, my family never stopped eating and drinking dairy products, and none of them has cancer. According to my mother and my grandmother, no one in our family has ever had cancer. Not to mention, my grandparents who lived to be centenarians made it past their mid to late 90s having never taken prescription drugs. My mother is in her 80s and is still not on prescription drugs either. People I know who take prescription drugs say the prescription drugs destroyed their quality of life. I believe that because as soon as my grandparents started taking prescription drugs at nearly 100 years old, their quality of life diminished too. They became less active, stopped going on walks, and my grandmother ended up in a nursing home and years later, she passed away. My mother felt guilty for placing her in that nursing home and decided to keep my grandfather at home where we all were more than happy to take care of him. Although he lived longer, he was unhappy after my grandmother passed away and no longer wanted to live. The prescription drugs made him very depressed. He even told my aunt and my mother to stop giving him birthday parties because he was tired of living. Apropos, I do come from a long line of doctors, nurses, and scientists in my family. Moreover, I hold a graduate degree in Science Education with a Specialization in Brain Research.

@@Teo_live plant based is not vegan. So actually these doctors are led by scientific evidence not on the "save the animals" first. Take Dr T Colin Campbell he cites many animal studies. Which if he were vegan he would not be for.

@@cookitvegan3338 No we only care about diet, not virtue signalling. Therefore, "plant-based" as in pure plant diet is for all intents and purposes considered vegan. A common tactic by vegans is to pretend they are not vegan to push their agenda (e.g Greger). Anyway these doctors like Campbell are a minority. They dont care for evidence, hence they always go against the grain of both scientific literature and scientific consensus. Campbell and McDougall are notorious for this, drawing insane pro-vegan conclusions from their own biased studies. This is why I mainly look at the methods/results and not the abstract/conclusion when reading pro-vegan studies.

I was never a milk drinker but my local grocery store started selling grassfed milk including chocolate milk. Started an exercise program and started drinking a couple of Liters a week of grass fed full fat chocolate milk. In a year I lost 20 lbs by eliminating bread and pasta and increasing fruit and meat,local oysters once a week very little vegetables except some cooked cabbage and saurkraut. Increased dairy and not afraid of a small amount of Sugar with workouts

The 2 biggest acne causes are: 1. Sugar 2. Lactose For me personally when i drastically limited eating and drinking sugars and dairy products, my face cleared up in a matter of a month. Other thing about milk is that it's has growth hormones in it.

Scientists found cows milk is packed with vitamins and minerals and so said it was the perfect food for health, problem is cows milk is hard to digest, unlike human milk, so the vitamins and minerals from cows milk don't get to get in the human body because of that.

I've drank between a minimum of 1L, up to 2L of milk everyday of my life since I was very little, mostly at every meal, or just at breakfast/before bed. After going into college I upped it a little to more than not 2L a day. Regarding side effects, I think my body adapted throughout the years. Genetically speaking if I had some intolerance it would've been obvious by now or outright unbearable, considering as well how much cheese and yogurts I also chug down. Though I must say I noticed significant improvement in my digestive and kidney well-being when I also implemented more water in my daily intake. I think I would probably be at risk of forming kidney stones/calcium buildups so I now I try to keep an eye for it. TLDR Milk is awesome and has been a big part of my diet since forever. Your body with its genetic limitations + your lifelong adaptations will determine how much you can/should drink, and maybe pass it down to your children even.

Hello! Have you noticed any hormonal side effects? Milk is said to be rich in estrogen, which negatively influences testosterone levels.
@historyianbrazilian4987
@historyianbrazilian4987 2 жыл бұрын
@@ahmedkhedr2631 Doesn't really matter if its bad for testosterone cause some people need dairy for protein and growth. I've heard that its not really confirmed but milk may lower testosterone according to some studies. I don't really believe it tho. I've heard of some strongmen that would drink a lot of milk, like The Great Gama. I drink milk quite regularly and still noticed muscle gains. And honestly, if there's any changes, probably minimal. I'd say its not even as bad as being sedentary, eating junk food and drinking alcohol.

@@historyianbrazilian4987 The effect of diary on testosterone is rather derived than direct, it happens as a result of an increase in the levels of estrogen. I also have noticed decent muscle growth while on diary. However, my question is whether diary intake limits the actual maximum potential of muscle growth.

I grew up on a farm, back in the 70's, so had raw, what they now call organic, milk all the time. After leaving there and striking out in the world as I grew up, joined the forces etc I eventually gave up drinking milk as it always gave me a bad stomach after that, something I never used to get from it. 5 years ago I sourced some raw organic milk at a local farmers market and tried a couple of pints, no problems at all. Looking into it you see modern supermarket pasteurised milk is the problem, for me at least, whilst the real stuff is totally good for me.

Milk severely affects the hormones of the human body because it contains hormones itself. I find it unbelievable that you could ignore all the proofs about that. I did my own experiment by increaing my own dairy intake and a few months later got gynecomastia (male boobs). That didn't start reversing before I started cutting back on the dairy. Why do the risk of prostate cancer and breast cancer increase as a result of dairy intake? Because those cancers are very estrogen sensitive. Can't keep ignoring the elephant in the room if we want to improve our health.

What made you decide to walk away from your father’s Baskin-Robbins empire? When my uncle, Burt Baskin, died of a heart attack at the age of 54, I asked my dad if he thought there could be any connection between his death and the amount of ice cream he would eat. (He was a very big man who ate a LOT of ice cream.) My dad said, “No, his ticker just got tired and stopped working.” I could understand why my father would not want even to consider the possibility that there might be a connection between ice cream and heart disease. He had by that time manufactured and sold more ice cream than anyone in the history of the planet. But I felt a responsibility to look into it. And I came to the conclusion that ice cream, which is full of saturated dairy fats and sugar, was indeed linked to heart disease. An ice cream cone isn’t going to kill anyone, but the more you eat, the more likely you are to have heart disease, diabetes, and many other problems. If you’re in the ice cream business, you want people to eat a lot. That’s the business model. And I didn’t want to make my living selling a product that might be undermining anyone’s health. Also, I visited the large commercial dairies where Baskin-Robbins got its dairy products, and I saw how the cows were treated. It broke my heart to see them treated so poorly. I found the idea of profiting from such cruelty to be appalling. You wrote your first book, Diet for a New America, in 1987. What has changed since then? There is a lot more awareness now that animals in factory farms and feedlots are routinely subjected to horrible conditions. And a lot more people are standing in opposition to this systematic cruelty. And there is also a lot more awareness about the connection between industrial meat production, greenhouse gas emissions, and the destabilization of our climate.
